I received a Grubhub credit from my employer that was set to expire today. I decided to order Kochi because I was nearby.

Kochi is like the great clips of sushi. It’s pretty good, somewhat decently priced, and gets the job done. However you don’t quite have the experience of a traditional sushi place, which is why you see lower reviews. This is a place that is very evidently focused on takeout orders, as even dine-in dinners get served in to-go containers.

The Stone Mtn roll was the first thing I ordered from Kochi when I moved here 3.5 years ago, and I fell head over heels for it! Sadly, the Stone Mtn roll I received tonight was nothing like it used to be. It was maybe half the size it has been over the years? Barely any sauce or scallops on it. The sushi pieces themselves were the same size as my octopus roll that was $6 cheaper. I imagine some of the ingredients have increased in price, but unfortunately this roll is no longer worth its cost. The spicy octopus roll was okay but still not really worth its $9 price tag. This bums me out, but I felt like I needed to say something if you’re like me and try to spend your money intentionally when eating out nowadays. I still hear good things about the hibachi meals at Kochi, so hopefully that will continue to satisfy down the road.

Love this place. We just recently found it. They have a lot of rolls! More geared toward the American palette. Portions are huge and very affordable. Husband and I can eat here for half the price of other sushi restaurants and get more food. Like how they have Korean food as well it gives the non sushi eaters more of a choice than just teriyaki.

I’ve been a regular here for the last eight months, and will continue to be. I get sushi takeout at least once a week, and the quality is always consistently good. I recommend the Georgia combo if you’re looking for a little bit of everything (I go for the nigiri and spicy tuna roll). The host is always a friendly face in a rough work week. Love this place!

I’ve picked up from here and the food is great. I recently went to purchase a gift card. They don’t have the fancy gift cards one would expect – they get the name down and issue a piece of paper like a receipt with the name and amount on it. It serves. The purpose nonetheless!

The food here is generally disappointing. We’ve only ever ordered takeout/delivery, but the rolls are so small for the price you pay. It’s not the freshest, nor is it flavorful. However, this is the only sushi place that delivers near us and we can’t help but hope we’ll have a better experience. We also ordered calamari and it was inedible. The calamari was cold/semi-frozen while the breading was soggy and the sauce it came with was not good at all. Only giving a star because they follow order notes. I can’t recommend this place.

Always delicious! My partner gets sushi and I get hibachi. The fried rice is really good. Recently tried the sushi pizza and that was impressively good.

I love all the businesses and choices in this area of town but I must say I expected more. I love good service so the kind people gained them a extra star. But truthfully the rolls were scampy, and when I think hibachi I think a big thing of rice and when I ask for the house special and pay over 23 dollars. The meal should be huge. I have ate at hibachi places for the same meal and had another meal to go. I ask for my steak to be well done not my shrimp. The shrimp were extremely over cooked. The best thing was the California roll and egg roll. Wish I could leave a better review. Seem like good people may need to retrain cook and work on larger portions.

I’ve been ordering from via Uber Eats for quite a while but the latest order is the last straw. When I first ordered from here the quality of the food was acceptable and the sushi was fresh, but for some reason they thought they could give me what looks like leftovers from yesterday. The sushi tasted spoiled, the tempura was stale and the package had sauce all over it. Totally unacceptable and this is the last time I order from this place. I’m even considering contacting the department of public health because of this.
