The only issue I had was not knowing how to go about ordering. I’m sure the locals don’t hesitate but it was a little confusing. Take out only. Got it now. It just looked like I could walk in. The lady at the window was very helpful and very informative. Overall great customer service. The food was delicious. A fried platter of shrimp and oysters didn’t disappoint. Being from eastern NC I was definitely comparing it back to home. The potato salad wasn’t like mama made it….. It was better! If not for the confusion upon arriving 5 stars all the way.

This place has some of the best food seasoned well and delicious I ordered a cheeseburger and got down the road and wanted to turn around and get another, I got the Salisbury steak and it was delicious will definitely be coming back

Nice little place, just a few minutes off the highway, convenient to be able to avoid the chain restaurants. The owners are very nice and attentive. They fried us fresh chicken rather than serve the older leftovers, which is always a good sign.

I’ve been eating from George’s since I was a little girl and I absolutely love the food to this day!!! This restaurant is actually one of the last genuine “Greek” restaurants that we have in, or near Florence county, very similar too but better than Athens, remember them? The owners and staff are extremely nice and They love to feed you as much as you want to be fed! They have the best down home, “southern soul-food” cooking you’ve ever had PLUS their other menu items, such as seafood, burgers & fries, subs, hamburger steak with onions, fries chicken, etc.. If I could give this place 100 stars, I would! If you find yourself in Timmonsville or Florence, (who cares how far it is to drive for really good food because I’ve driven a pretty good ways to wind up having some terrible food experiences ) go see Mr. George and Mrs. Angie!! OR..make the call and place your order for pick-up, they have a drive thru window for convenience!!!
