Have been a repeat customer for over 5 years as the food is awesome however I will never order anything again due to rude staff over a misunderstanding of a delivery order. Was sitting outside waiting for the driver. They pulled up in front of the house instead of pulling in the driveway. She saw me sitting there and never got out of the car. Sat there for about 10 minutes then left. I called and the lady said you didn’t come out for the delivery and we are not coming back and we will not deliver to you again. Okay fine there are other pizza shops in the area that would like to have my order several times a week. I ordered from them 3 to 4 times a week spending close to $200 a week. They tried telling me that this has happened before….. No it hasn’t you liar. I have always been out to receive my order. Then I’m told we also have started to refuse delivery to anyone who does not tip the driver. I always tipped at least $10 to the driver. Love your food but your treatment of customers sucks. Your business practices are the lowest of low. Your staff is rude. Food awesome Customer service extremely bad. Sorry guys you lost a good repeat customer. Jim and NENA’s appreciates my repeat orders.

Very rude on the phone after waiting over two hours for our food. When we called to see how long, they said it would be out of the oven in 5 minutes and be here soon. If we knew it was going to take another 1 hour and 15 minutes we would of came and picked it up ourselves.

EDIT- 6 months later – I’m not sure what happened to this place but I am DONE ordering from here. There service has gone downhill , along with the quality of their food. The last 4+ times I have been nothing but disappointed . Don’t waste your money or time. The trouble started back in March when I paid a week+ ahead of time in cash for 11 pizzas to be made for a birthday party…. They FORGOT ALL ABOUT IT! I had to call 45 minutes after it was supposed to be delivered , and the kid who answered the phone got an attitude with me because I was irritated that no one had any idea what I was talking about . I got over that and moved on after a while. Since then – every time we have ordered food , it has not been delivered as ordered. A salad I ordered was a joke, and completely just thrown together last second without any thought or care. One order was completely wrong and missing an item. I ordered cannolis one time— they were disgusting, didn’t even eat them after one bite . Every time we have asked for our pizza lightly baked, it comes to us well done. Over an hour wait for delivery no matter what time or day when we’re 3 miles from the shop. I attached a photo of our “lightly baked” pizza from this evening .

Used to absolutely adore this place and ordered from it almost twice a month, but two years or so ago, things took a nosedive and we very rarely go. And each time we forgive (maybe twice a year now, maybe less), we’re disappointed. Last night we ordered an XL 2-topping pizza because we had been told that was the only way to get the size pizza we had been used to when we used to get a large (2+ years ago), but what they gave us was very clearly any other pizza place’s version of a large for Pizza Box’s expensive XL price. Their quality, order consistency, and service has continuously gone downhill, and last night marked the very last time my husband and I were willing to forgive. There’s too many other pizza restaurants around to waste our time on a place that’s constantly disappointed us. Sal’s Pizza, Jim & Nena’s, Fox’s Pizza, The Vault, Marco’s, Crazy Tomato, Genova’s–even Domino’s, and Pizza Hut–have higher standards than Pizza Box.

I had ordered a lg philly cheesesteak sub with everything on it and there was no mushrooms at all… and I ordered a turkey and cheese sub with extra mayonnaise with lite lettuce and there was no mayonnaise… ordered breaded cauliflower that was okay and then ordered a lg cheese pizza and when I got there to grab my order and after I paid for it there was no pizza with my order at all they never even put it in the system so I flipped out on them and when I got there 2 guys were in the kitchen just talking and carrying on waited 2 mins for someone to come to the counter …. this place will never get my business again!! I paid $36 for 2 subs and breaded cauliflower

Ordered some pizza. Got what could be seen as a “pizza” if you’re three quarters into a Monday night game if you’ve been drinking since noon. Ordered it an hour before close, didn’t feel like it’d be fair to come back right before close to ask for another one. Came in first thing the next morning without touching it and was refused a refund since it wasn’t the same night. 0/10

Go to Jim and Nena’s, awesome service. The pizza box has bad service and the lady in the rear was very rude. They don’t listen to what you order and place was all around unsanitary.

Dirty place, sub-par food, overpriced. This place was decent years ago, but just continues to go downhill. Dover has far better pizza places, just go down the street in either direction.

I am surprised by the negative reviews. I have been ordering pizzas and subs for about 6 months. All have been good…and they accommodated my requests. Also the delivery folks have been great. Only thing they need to make a thinner pizza upon request but that is a small issue.
