My 5 star ratings are getting old, I know it . I realize they’re only appropriate for what’s truly stellar and above-average. I’ll never be the “5-star-for-all-guy”, but … I dunno … I gotta give credit where credit’s due. This place is fantastic! So traditional and homey. Prices are reasonable and the service is exceptional. There’s no question here.

I was there by chance for a friend and I needed to eat, the storage unit mentioned this was a great diner. That was an understatement. Benny my server was on top of it all. I sat outside on their patio and enjoyed brunch. I definitely recommend the stuffed French toast and coffee was fresh. I also ordered curly fries because Benny recommend them. Perfect and for living in Ct and 2.5hrs away; I’ll be returning just for the area and Gateway diner..

Had breakfast there with my two cousins today. Absolutely phenomenal breakfast. Quality food. World class service in a clean great diner environment. The highlight of the meal was definitely Lisa the server. She went way above and beyond to Make for a phenomenal experience or service is extremely and genuinely kind quick and full of lots of positivity. She went above and beyond and took a picture with my cousin and then took some pictures of us. She was also kind enough to take pictures with some other Guests. I have been in food service for over 35 years and she’s definitely one of the best servers I have ever seen. Frank the owner was also very genuine and kind to come over and speak to us at the table. This is a great local diner in my hometown that I highly recommend to anybody

Friendly service, kitchen prep of food needs improving as the order has been wrong on numerous occasions (including our recent visit). Since this first review, I’ve returned here many times. On past visit the service of the server was among the worst I’ve experienced here. Decent portion sizes for specials make for a good value for the money. With that said, there once was a time when business owners truly appreciated their customers.

We used to really like this diner, especially for their Greek specialties. But we had an unpleasant experience tonight — both with the quality of the food and with the way we were over billed, without explanation. I’m on a low-carb diet, so I asked for some greens with my food instead of the fries it came with. They did not mention there would be an up charge, yet they billed me for a salad. They ran out of Greek dressing for Greek salad and asked us what kind of dressing we would like instead. My husband asked for tzatiki to put on his salad. They brought out this huge dish of it, (we didn’t ask for that much), and then charged us extra for it. They were the ones who ran out of the Greek dressing, so we thought this was not good business. On top of that, everything tasted processed — not the same quality it used to be. The waiters were both very, very nice, but the owner definitely gave us some attitude when we spoke to him about adjusting the bill.

food, ok, nothing to rave about. Prices high. Just about everything you order has extra changes. Almost $6 for bacon to be added. Onions, extra, tomato, extra. Menu states a 3.5% fee added for credit cards, atm on site for $1. I have no problems with that but sign at register says 5% fee for credit and no fee for ATM.
