A fairly average place. You can order sandwich or plate combos or meat by the 1/2lb. The sides are a little more varied than some other places but they do come hot. On the negative, pretty much everything needed salt as most of the meats were bland in flavor. The brisket was also drier than I would like. On the positive all the meats were tender and the chicken and ribs were moist. Service was also just okay. There was only one waitress for an empty establishment and she frequently disappeared throughout our meal. Even found her napping behind the register when it was time to pay. Prices are about average for a BBQ joint.

With bbq I usually do my research before I go, however my wife and I were very hungry and we saw this dive looking location, which are sometimes the best, and decided to stop in. Boy should I have stuck to my routine and looked at these reviews because they are spot on. I ordered a brisket sandwich that was okay, it came with onion rings that were fresh, hot and the best thing about my experience, I looked over at my wife and caught her scoffing at her food, I asked her to please stop being rude because it wasn’t that bad. I noticed that when she picked up her first slice it didn’t pass the fold test and I saw her give it an efforted tug to pull it apart, so I knew it wasn’t going to be great. She offered me her food once I finished because she did not want to eat it, so I figured I’d see what she was complaining about. The sliced brisket was just plain bad. It definitely had too much smoke, yet no smoke ring which left me perplexed. It also seemed to be mesquite which I am not a fan of on brisket although it may be some of yalls cup of tea. Aside from smoke the brisket had zero flavor, it was definitely a cheap cut and the fat wasn’t rendered, as it was dry and tough. The meat also did taste reheated and I had different slices of which some were cut the wrong direction. I suspected liquid smoke so as I left I drove around back and saw they did have a pit, but not one that would produce an efficient low and slow cook, anyway with all that said the prices were good and if your looking for a cheap chopped brisket sandwich with some good sides it’s your place, if you are looking for quality barbecue I suggest skipping this place.

I do not understand how this place has 4 stars. I too support local businesses but these people aren’t even trying! Chili is from a can with added pinto beans. Sliced brisket had different meats from different brisket that were at least 2 days old. Chicken was flavored decently but again, was about 1-2 maybe 3 days old. My brisket sandwich meat was completely different from the sliced brisket. Had WAY too much liquid smoked. My guess, the brisket is msdd in the oven or crockpot which I guess isn’t bad, but its old and made by Chef “Mike”. Best thing was my Coke Zero. They lack heart and passion for food. I dont mind the hole in the wall scenery but cmon. Prices are okay. I hope the owner turns things around.

Absolutely horrible. Do NOT eat there. There are only 3 good things about this place. The free arcade games, the cornbread “awesome”, and the pleasant woman who took our order. I ordered the beef brisket and chicken with cornbread and Chilli with beans as the sides.. Let’s start with the brisket since this is a BBQ restaurant. The lady brought it out and it looked like rancid spam. It was grey in color, had a vinegar like smell with grill marks. My guess is the brisket was at least one day old so they took it out and cut it with a food slicer and heated it on the grill. Between the smell and the appeance. I didn’t even touch it. The chicken was ok and somewhat flavorful. The Chilli must have been store bought and out of a can with nothing special done.

So okay I went by with my husband &yes- I’ll admit the brisket is a little bland- BUT, personally I really like the prices, the atmosphere, and the owner (at-least I think he’s the owner) has a really chill good vibe- I think this place is worth checking out. However, I do have to admit since we’ve had a lot of brisket, it would taste so so so much better if it were smoked overnight. (You can even use fairly cheap cuts of brisket and if you smoke it overnight you get a really nice bark and a lot of smoky flavor-obviously) (this would definitely be one way to up the flavor) the ribs would also taste a lot better I think if they added a rub to them- we tried quite a few sides I liked the potato salad and the onion rings best… But again, I really just like the vibe of this place- I do think people should check it out (at least once) and decide for themselves. (:

Food was great, service excellent, especially enjoyed the owners free video games for the kids and some of us older kids at heart . Highly recommend the brisket and ribs and of course the sausage, as far as sides can’t go wrong with charro beans , potato salad, and fries

It’s alright for the price. The onion rings were probably the best from our sides. We got two brisket plates with two sides each. I do not recommend the chili with beans, just tastes weird. I’m guessing the brisket isn’t cooked all that long, barely any smoke flavor, and no bark/crust to speak of. The ribs also lacked much flavor, lack of any substantial rub.
