I was a very frequent customer at Flat Top Grill and so when Genghi’s opened up in its place in Peoria, IL I was very excited to try it. After my first visit I was hooked! Been there many many times since they opened and always have a good experience. My last visit was awful though. Our waitress was who I had always believed to be the manager during previous visits. She always came off as the leader of the show. Very polite and welcoming! This time however she was very rude and made me feel like complete trash. She asked us what we would like to drink and my friend ordered a soda and I said I would like a margarita with patron and she gave me the evilest stare down with a horrific snarled face! When she returned with drinks, we told her we did not want to order food and that we would just like to pay for our drinks. We will never return! Sad!

Had a great experience! The staff explained the process and order of things, as well as the various options available to you to build your own bowl. Waited a lot longer than expected for a seat, but it was made up instantly when our food was cooked very quickly! Loved my experience today, and can’t wait to come back!

Terrible place! I came here with my family to eat dinner and it was a complete mess. The lady who greeted us upon coming in, was rude. It took our food almost an hour to reach our table the food wasn’t of good quality. Two of our bowls had the wrong base and the meat was dangerously under cooked. The server was doing everything she could to make things better. The server was running around doing more than the managers and later I found out the rude lady who greeted us was the general manager and the cook who under made the food was the manager. I still decided to give it another try on a slower night and it was better quality food and faster. The general manager was still rude and hostile with the people that work for her!! I overheard her yelling at an employee and it made the atmosphere diminished and uncomfortable. If you know what’s good for you, go to Flat Top, at least you’re getting what you pay for in a welcoming environment.

It took 45 min to get our food for a party of two. I did the build your own bowl and should’ve left when I saw how gross the veggies looked. It was messy and most things were low. I wanted two meats but the cook said I couldn’t add extra meat, but when I asked the waitress she said I could for an added $2. Great. But when I got home the receipt said $4, which definitely wasn’t worth it. My partner got the steak bowl and it was nasty. Potatos weren’t fully cooked and the steak was gross. The manager asked how it was and when telling her the meat was “off” she told us they got the wrong kind of meat in and it was a way lower quality but they put it out anyway just so there was something. She agreed it was bad and said next time would be better. Yet we still paid full price. Obviously won’t be going back. While there another customer was upset about their food.

Had a great experience! Delicious food! Fresh! Tons of options!! Top notch customer service! Quick service, clean restaurant, everything was on point! Very rude interaction from who I discovered to be the manager. The attitude and grouchiness from her is just ridiculous if you can’t run a restaurant find elsewhere to work! I asked for help to explain the menu since it was my first time there and she rolled her eyes and said the descriptions are on the menu. The waitress was amazing! Other than that I am highly upset about the lack of customer service!!
