It was Juneteenth earlier this week and I wanted to support a black-owned restaurant and found this place open.

Seeking out a bite to eat after nine, I found Skinny Black BBQ on Google maps. It has good reviews, close by and it turned out to be delicious. Two of us ordered the brisket and one of us ordered the chicken. A combination of delicious sides were also ordered. The Mac and Cheese, the green beans and the greens were all outstanding.

Service was suspect, so I didn’t even want change back ( a$20 )and it looked like the cashier/employee was chewing while handing me my greasy a** bag. Chicken looked extra tender though.

SA we got a good BBQ spot on the east side. I had the combination 2 meat plate brisket is off the chain. Delicious sausage. Old school Potato salad . I must say I’m very impressed with the quality and flavor. BBQ sauce needs to be sold in stores. Thank u for the best BBQ plate in a longtime. Keep up the great work. I will be back….

Tried it for the first time 3 days ago. I was looking for good bbq and I found it. I went back today like I said 3 days later. I normally have bbq maybe once or twice a month but they had me back within a week. I’ll be returning for sure.

Pork ribs were a little dry. And 3 meat plate is a little pricey for the amount served but was a great surprise to find this place and would definitely go back and try something different next time we are in the area. Potato salad, green beans, bbq sauce and not to mention sausage and brisket.. all were delicious.

If I could rate the place a zero I would. The beans extremely…. Salty Mac & cheese horrible. Sausage okay ribs taste like they were cooked in the oven. Prices ridiculously high for what I got. Pound of brisket mostly fat. 2 sausage link, half pound of ribs, a pint of beans and a personal Mac & cheese …………$54.10
