The food? Absolutely delicious. Was flavorful in every way possible. The service and atmosphere was pretty mid but that’s okay. The food makes up for it. Just wish is was in a more convenient location seeing how I had a bit of trouble finding the place but again I got over that. That food made me forget I was even frustrated! Big W on authentic jamaican food!

Food is amazing and the portions are even better. The atmosphere is very Caribbean. Service was awesome and the bathrooms were nice and clean. We enjoyed eating here and think that the place should be more busy and packed 24/7. Thats how good it was!

I love Porter’s House. I come often here to eat and it reminds me of my childhood. My mother is Jamaican and when I say the food is like home cooking it truly is. I love the staff and owner she is so sweet. One of my favorite restaurants in Harrisburg. They made food for a party I had and the amount of delicious food and the price I was charged it was outstanding…. I love Porter’s House

Expensive for food i didn’t ask for. They Thought i didn’t know the difference in fish.. I asked for Catfish and they gave me Whiting fish And it was dry.broke into little pieces and Mac and cheese was bland and unseasoned. Don’t want their business at all. Sorry not sorry.

I came 30 minutes away to try this spot and to save someone else the headache…. Do NOT waste your money!!! The reviews must be rigged by employees because the food was absolutely HORRIBLE. We got the oxtails and curried goat . It had to be recycled food, the Mac and cheese which in the reviews said it was good… it was not . On top of the horrendous entrees, I found a short black hair in the dumpling!!! When we went back to get a partial refund the owner said she did not care about our “complaints”, we were trying to “tear down a black business” and that she wasn’t going to accept that lost. I wouldn’t feed this food to a starving cat on the side of the road to save it’s life! I would have settled for a refund and never to return but the owner’s argumentative attitude and inflammatory gaslighting compelled me to warn other customers to spend their hard earned money elsewhere.

Went to the stand at The Broad Street Market and was looking for beef patties. They were out so instead I got the jerk chicken, rice and beans, and cabbage. I am so glad I did!! Probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Delicious!!! 10/10 recommend for sure!!!
