Great food! Authentic taste. I lived in China for a bit and came to love 鱼香茄子 (Garlic Eggplant on menu I think) while there. Sichuan Dynasty made it hot and delicious. Maybe the best I’ve had in the area. The waitresses were kind, attentive, and even let this 外国人 practice his 普通话 a little bit. Two thumbs up!

This place had great reviews and I’m so disappointed. I ordered the spicy braised beef Sichuan soup and fried dumplings. I know you don’t typically get the best quality with delivery but I’ve been sick so it was the best option. The noodles (even though packaged on the side) were total mush. Seemed like they’d been sitting in a steamer for hours. The quality of the beef was poor and very gristly and the dumplings were soggy and not the texture I would normally expect of dumplings (even after sitting for a while). Luckily the broth did have good spice and flavor so I was able to drink that and it wasn’t a total loss. All in all paid $35 for spicy broth. I wouldn’t waste your money here.

Straight up BEST food I’ve had since moving to Kansas City! The food exploded with flavor, I cannot fully describe how phenomenal it was. The braised pork melted in your mouth, the eggplant was slightly sweet and savory. It’s so difficult to describe how amazing it taste until you have it. This was paired with excellent service! The ladies were interactive, they refilled your water so stealth like that you wouldn’t even know they were there. You didn’t even need to ask for more rice because they intuitively KNEW to give you more.

Dined here on the Monday evening around 7 pm, there were quite a few patrons but not too busy. The food is delicious, spicy, hot and quick to come out-my food arrived in less than 10 minutes. The wait staff were helpful with my questions about the menu. The restaurant was very clean and they boxed up my food for me when I left!

I cannot say enough great things about my meal at Sichuan Dynasty. Lots of flavors and spices with each plate. We decided to order completely new plates (except for the Rangoon’s) just to try to new food…we were not disappointed! Grab some lunch or dinner at Sichuan Dynasty if you are in the area!

Updated Review: After coming here a couple of times I invited my teammates to this place. They had the weekday lunch Special! The lunch special is slightly cheaper & gives you a combination of rice, protein & starter. It was a disaster! The protein options were all deep fried & the service is bad! Half the table gets their order within 10 minutes & other half gets it after 40 minutes.

If you are a person that loves spicy authentic Shezuan Chinese dishes this is one place you can try. We liked the Zhajiang noodles, General Tso’s chicken and the spicy wonton. I do not recommend the spicy fish as the taste of the fish disappeared in the breading and its sauce. The brewed beef noodle soup is bland. Prices are reasonable.
