Our founder Rusty Fenton’s dream was to bring the authentic taco stand experience to local communities and to become the neighborhood taco stand.
The dream became reality when the first Rusty Taco opened in a converted gas station on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, TX in 2010. But Rusty Taco is more than just a place for street tacos. Rusty also believed in serving the community and creating a place where people from all walks of life can come together and feel welcome.
We are passionate about what we do and keep our menu fresh and simple. Deliciously uncomplicated tacos crafted by hand with recipes created by our founder, who famously said: “Tacos are the Most Important Meal of the Day®”!

I ordered chicken nachos with black beans and they were great!! So great that my daughter tasted mine and wanted some of her own. Btw hers were great too. Didn’t catch the young lady’s name but she was there at 3pm on last Thursday.

Driving through and stopped. It isn’t often I’m driving through East TX and able to find vegetarian food at a taco shop. But they have options! Their fried cauliflower tacos are very tasty. The service was fast. Great experience!

I tried one of their locations in Fort Worth. It was good. Same here. Guys working we’re friendly and fast preparing the food. Place was clean. In a mall parking lot out of the way. Dead area for early breakfast. All the food was hot and the tacos where fat. Try the habanero hot sauce.

The Shrimp Dynamite Taco is absolutely amazing! Fried shrimp (exceptional…no, PERFECTLY breaded with a perfect crunch) with a tangy sauce and somehow all brought together with a slice of avocado. The servers and cooks have gotten to know us bc we come here every Friday (which is a great touch). Exceptional facilities that are particularly fun (on the 14 days/year that it’s not hot as h€££) bc they roll up massive garage doors resulting in an open air feel.

I am disappointed that when I went there, there was no beef and we were there 40 minutes prior to closing. How do you have a taco restaurant with no beef. They saw us standing there for 10 minutes then someone picked up the trash and tried to take our order, without washing their hands. What if I ordered drinks or something as simple as giving her my card. That’s just nasty and unprofessional.

Ordered tacos via doordash today. From seeing the pictures online these tacos looked as if they were going to be pretty large. However what we got were tiny little tacos like you would get from a Taco truck for a couple of dollars and at $4.00 a piece that’s just crazy. Spent $50.00 for 2 people to eat and we were both still hungry. The food flavor was great and if they would either lower the price per Taco or make them larger they would be awesome. The Berrian tacos were very good and fairly sized tacos..so I would recommend them bur that’s about it.

4/10 – went to this place because it’s close to my place of employment for lunch. Ordered 2 grilled fish tacos with no Baja sauce. Sat waiting for my order over 30 minutes only for them to bring out two shrimp tacos. Then the young lady walked around to several tables before the cashier (Ramon) told her it was actually my order but it in fact was not my order because I did not order shrimp tacos. Shrimp and fish sounds totally different. I had less than 25 minutes left on my lunch at this point so I asked for a refund and there was no apology or any type of empathy. If I could rate this place a negative 5 on service I would. My entire lunch ruined because they didn’t listen and take a correct order. Better off going to McDonald’s for their service and we all know how their service is. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!!! Called to speak to someone several times the same day and got the voicemail the 3 times I called. Very frustrated with them. They don’t deserve to take up space in this area. Put another spot in its place that actually listens and cares about their customers.

So disappointed my friend and I have been waiting for 10 minutes in line excited to make an order and the waitress came twice to check on another customer. Mind you she acknowledged we were in line but said nothing not a “hey how are you I’ll be right with you in a minute” or nothing. Strike 1) strike 2) another woman came out and threw something in the trash and immediately came to the computer to take our orders.) (gross) strike 3) I ordered the number 13 and number 10 and she said they had no ground beef or fried Chicken!? A customer behind us heard and left and not long afterwards we left! It was definitely a disappointment
