This place ROCKS! I actually like the take away place next to the restaurant better because you don’t have to wait 1 hour for reservations on some nights. And the takeaway place has a full bar for those that need their fix

Been hearing about Joe’s Stone Crab in Miami Beach for quite some time so I decided to finally give it a try. I’m happy to report back that my expectations were exceeded for sure. Opened in 1913, Joe’s has been a staple in Miami Beach for a long time – they’re mostly known for their seafood (especially their stone crabs). During the month of August, I’d highly recommend their Miami Spice menu. For the price, you sure get a lot of food that’s both insanely good and served with good portions. Some of my recommendations include the classic Stone Crab, Creamed Spinach, Stone Crab Bisque, and the Ginger Salmon. For drinks, you must try the Key Lime Martini; has to be one of the best cocktails I’ve ever tried. This spot is a must when in Miami Beach and I can’t recommend it enough. Love the aesthetic and decor inside as well. They have a full chunk of the restaurant for take-away that has it’s own bar and vibe. Definitely check this place out.

The food was overall good. I have been to amazing restaurants in my lifetime. I have lived in both the Northeast and Pacific Northwest and have thus had the privilege of enjoying great seafood. We ordered both a $125.00 entree and off of their upgraded Miami Spice Stone Crab Menu for other members of our party. Their Stone Crab with their side sauce was great, as was their Stone Crab Bisque. Their King Crab was nothing to write home about. I found the sauce to be too salty and the lime flavoring they touted was not appreciable. Their sides were quite bland. The service team was downright rude. We were a party of 8 and quite honestly, we were treated as if they were doing us a favor in serving us. The restaurant was busy, but not so much to warrant that type of behavior (quite honestly, I don’t think that type of treatment is ever excusable). Though we were looking forward to this being a part of our trip, it is a place we won’t be returning to nor will the family members that live in town.

Joes stone crab is a true classic. Never had stone crabs before. It was so sweet. Seafood paella was also really good! Key lime pie was classic too!

100 year old+ restaurants that are “must gos” too often trade on their brand/name and deliver an underwhelming dinning experience. Joe’s doesn’t. This South Beach staple fully lives up to its reputation. The food is excellent, especially the signature stone crabs and key lime pie. The service is quick, thoughtful, and surprisingly personal given the size of the operation. 100% worth a visit when in the area

Seriously, don’t bother. This has been the most disappointing meal of our Miami trip. Cold bread with foil butter packets and crackers in plastic. When you’re spending ~$75 on an entree? Ridiculous. The cole slaw came “deconstructed” which was a pile of soggy cabbage with a lump of mayo and chopped pickles on top. The pic is after I mixed it together. The restaurant thinks too highly of itself, but does not deliver on the basic touches of a high-end dinner. The stone crab was okay, but honestly seemed like it had been frozen based on the texture. I am passionate about good food, ambiance, and great service. This restaurant lacked in all categories.

The short ribs were delicious. Fell right off the bone but still had a nice bite. The stone crab is served. I just don’t like cold crab. But it was cooked nice nice flavor. The creamed spinach was delicious. I didn’t care for the potatoes that came with Joe’s meal.

Had a wonderful night visiting this place while we were staying at Miami beach. Drinks were on POINT and oysters are super fresh.
