Stickball Special

Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

The team here was always delightful to talk to, and super helpful when I called with allergy questions. Several members of our team have a severe gluten allergy and they made sure their order was correct. The team here even helped me load the food in my car. Absolutely awesome customer service!! I had never come in before today. I just started ordering. The guy with the blonde ponytail was really snippy with me. I didn’t mean to piss him off. I didn’t know it was Subway style where you order ingredients as you go. Then when I thought he passed my sandwich to the next guy, I said “Um,” because I was about to ask a question, and ponytail guy yelled “That ain’t yours.” I really wasn’t trying to rub anyone the wrong way. I think they could stand to be nicer.

Been to this location probably 5-6 times over the last month or so. I also travel to many different Jersey Mike’s location all around CO, UT, NV, CA, and AZ. At every location I visit (including this one), I always get the same order – a #11, substitute the ham for pepperoni so it would be salami, pepperoni and provolone.
