My first time at San Luis and from the moment I walked in, it was a pleasant surprise. It feels like Mexico! The fresh spicy salsa served with the crunchy warm chips has a great taste. I ordered the bistek a la Mexicana and it was made fresh with green peppers, onions, and tomato. It was delicious! I’m definitely coming back! Marco was very attentive and had great suggestions for our next visit.

Flavorful food with spicy and mild options. We ordered the Camaranes a la Diabla (spicy) and a Jumbo Burrito Pastor. The burrito meat was perfectly seasoned. The chips and salsa, house salsas were very authentic and tasty.

I came in to get some food while I was waiting for my food I bought a margarita one of the best margaritas I’ve had in a long time. Then he gave me the remainder of the margarita he made So then my food was ready and I sat there for 45 minutes anyways and talk to these people who extended the Olive Branch to me like I was family. We sat we talked we had fun while they worked very good environment such a great experience here this day. I recommend this place to anybody with your family your friends are even a date.

Great food, but closes early. I’ve gone out of my way to get their queso flameado with chorizo for years. BUT – note the dining room closes an hour before the time on google, and take out 30 minutes prior. Plan Accordingly. My disappointment is with google maps for now being able to reflect this.

I LOVE Mexican food, but good Mexican food is hard to find. San Luis does its thing. If I didn’t live 40 minutes away, I would be a regular. Free chips and salsa when you sit. A bangin’ margarita, thick steak tacos, quick, friendly service, affordable meals, large portions. I could go on, but you get the point. You know it’s saying something when I have to drive from Chicago to Indiana to whet my palate and taste buds. Highly recommend.
