Glad we stopped. Staff could have been a bit better but as is the case in so many places … Good help is hard to find. Bartender was very slow and the cook was more into wasting time with a few regulars than cooking but when we finally got our food it was good. Priced right and tasty… no complaints on the quality.

Very friendly “everyone knows your name” type place with really good burgers and Best Flat Fries. Judging by the menu, I’d bet there was no bad choice of things to eat. Really had a good time and listened to some live music for a bit, Bruce Greenwood. Wish we had planned to stay longer, it was awesome.

I went to see Shelby & the Riff Raff. This is a great place for live music with both indoor and outdoor venues. The pizza is fantastic as well as plenty of yummy choices. Weekly specials on drinks and food. The staff is awesome, very friendly and efficient. I love this place!

If you are driving along Hwy 61 between La Crosse and Winona and you are thirsty or hungry, you should definitely stop in. It’s a friendly little bar with top notch pub grub. Music on weekends and nice patio out back to party down.

Over priced food for the quality and quantity. Disappointed in the hard flat fries that aren’t even included in the “basket”. The basket includes a bag of lays potato chips, but when adding fries, you’re charged full price for an order of fries, but you don’t even get the chips. Wierd. $12 for a mediocre Philly on a dry bun is too much. The chicken tenders are pressed meat product. The fries are hard and flat….somewhere between a chip and a flat fry. Atmosphere lacks.

Pretty busy when our group of 8 showed up after a day of hiking. Serve was kind, but service was slow due to it being quite packed inside. They are likely short staffed, food took a while to come out. Tried the fish sandwich with chips: includes a literal bag of chips, and a friend fish fillet on an untoasted sub bun. Tasted alright, came out hot and good value for the $10 price.

I was recommended this bar while stopping in old Joe’s at fountain city. Haley was super welcoming and everyone we saw was super friendly. I wish we had more time to stay for the music and Friday fish, which smelled amazing.
