I definitely want to come back and try some more of their signature rolls. I tried the twins roll, shrimp tempura, and spicy crunchy Kani roll. They were all delicious and wanted to keep ordering more. The service was great and the decor was beautiful.

I just found this little gem . It’s the only Asian restaurant besides Nori that I have found that offers you the option of substituting brown rice. That is a big deal to me, since I try to eat healthy. I got their tofu hibachi and LOVED it. Their prices are better than Nori. Nori has more options and delicious food, and I will be going there to treat myself, but I will now be going to Masa on a regular basis.

My best friend and I went here today for lunch with our two baby boys. The food was delicious! Our waiter was top notch. He was running around doing a million things but was so on top of it, so accommodating and was genuinely just really fantastic at his job. He talked to our boys, to us and made it feel like we were friends. He was insistent that he would sweep up all the snacks our babes dropped and told us not to worry about a single thing. I wish I would have gotten his name but he was amazing. Thank you for being so kind and helpful to two moms!

It’s a small restaurant but I loved it!!! My husband order hibachi shrimp bento box and I order spacial lunch sushi rolls and it was delicious sushi meat is fresh and shrimp hibachi is very delicious!!!!!!! Big shrimp and vegetables cooked just perfect, Even my husband said it’s the best hibachi he ever had. We’re sure will come back to this place again.

Portions suck and the food was not pleasant at all, never going back. you can get much better quality sushi for way cheaper at places like six happiness in Leland even Nikis fresh sushi and it will actually fill you up. if you’re going somewhere for quality and/ or for dinner to fill you up I would definitely suggest checking out one of those places first because you actually get what you pay for. i paid 28$ and had to go somewhere else later to get different food because you barely get anything. How were the portions so small!!

A beautiful restaurant with amazingly fresh sushi, best salmon I’ve ever tasted! Ask for Aja or Jamie they are absolutely amazing, the entire wait staff is friendly and fast. Great lunch specials too!! Best in Wilmington hands down

Stopped in for a quick lunch and I’m glad I did. The food was great and the price was super cheap for sushi. Staff was friendly and the service was really fast. They only have two options for salad dressings and limited seating so you’ll be at the bar on even a slightly busy day but overall a nice experience. Would go again but not with a group due to limited seating.

As a recent transplant, I’ve been searching for good restaurants here on the eastern coast of NC. I’ve had the opportunity to eat in restaurants all over the US, New York, DC, New Orleans, San Francisco, Toronto to name a few. Suffice to say I’ve had some great meals and I know what I’m looking for in a restaurant, especially sushi. Unfortunately, Masa came up short. I ordered miso soup and a selection of nigiri: salmon, yellowtail, scallop and freshwater eel. This is my standard test of a sushi place because if you can’t get these right, as far as I’m concerned the rest doesn’t matter. The results: the taste of the miso soup was off, weak and lacking something. The scallop nigiri was good, probably locally sourced. The eel tasted good and was served just slightly warm when it should be the last item made and served immediately. But the real miss was the lack of eel sauce. This is the easiest win in a sushi place and they missed on it. The salmon and yellowtail were mostly tasteless which has been a common issue in this area. Lastly, the sushi rice was dried out on the edges like it wasn’t fresh or had been left uncovered. Again, this should never be a problem. Overall, the presentation and service was good but the details that matter were off. So the search continues.

Came here for lunch, loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, even if it was a little small. We ordered the crab ragoons and 3 of the specialty rolls. Our waiter was very polite and sweet and checked on us often and he insisted on the dessert here. Definitely come back again when I visit Wilmington again.
