I made reservations for this place but we were running late and they were very flexible in changing the time. We arrived and the server came quickly and placed our orders fast, the food did take a bit to come out and the server forgot something on my order so I asked him to not bring it anymore. The food was actually very delicious, we enjoyed everything. Me except my drink it didn’t have much flavor it only tasted like alcohol. The place is nice and has plenty of seating.

What a find! Great dining option if you’re visiting Turner Falls or the Sulphur area. Convenient historic downtown location! Springs is absolutely fantastic! Everything was so delicious. Staff were kind and offered top service. Super delicious! Located inside the Artesian Hotel.

First impressions of the restaurant is that it looked really nice, prices reflected that as well. Servers were pretty good and fairly accommodating. But here’s why the review is a low as it was. We got the food wow, what a letdown. Smothered chicken was supposed to be in a mushroom and bacon sauce. Well, it came with half of a mushroom and half slice of bacon. Very very disappointing. The restaurant is being boosted by reviews from 2+ years ago. Maybe 2+ years ago they were 4-5 stars, but now it’s 1 or 2 at best. Would NOT recommend.

Came in March 2023, was impressed with decor at first. We were sat by the kitchen, our waitress was cussing in the kitchen with one of the doors partially open so it was pretty noisy. We waited a long time for our food, then fries were cold. Paid with voucher, and waitress told the manager while cashing us out (cash register is maybe 6 feet away from our booth) “I hate these” assuming it was the voucher…I get it but at least don’t be saying it right now.

Staff was attentive although overwhelmed and it didn’t seem that busy. We heard a few of the servers complain as our table was close to where they were all coming in and out of. Our server was the most professional out of all of them we saw or heard. We had high expectations looking over the menu and reading some reviews. We started with the seared Ahi tuna. Presentation was nice. The tuna had a fishy flavor and was somewhat chewy. Normally seared tuna is from the freshest pieces the restaurants have so you don’t get that taste and it melts in your mouth. It was also strange they used a whole tuna steak for this. Normally it’s a square cut with all 4 sides seared then sliced 1/4 thick. Wife ordered the smothered chicken which was slightly over cooked but the best protein of the night we had. Her garlic mash however had no garlic flavor and the asparagus had very little seasoning. I ordered the $50 Ribeye which is their best steak with pasta salad and risotto. The pasta salad and the risotto both had great flavor and I would recommend both because those were the best sides we had. The steak however was a total disappointment. It is not a high quality steak. In fact I would rate it below a chain restaurant steak. It’s 3/4 inch thick. I ordered medium rare more on the rare side. The middle was medium rare maybe. Everything outside that 2 inch circle was medium to well. When I say this steak had no flavor I mean zero. They didn’t even salt it. It wasn’t overly tough but it was chewy. Overall I gave it 3 stars. I saw a few things on the menu when I pass thru I may stop and try at lunch but overall I wouldn’t bring anyone here for a quality dining experience.

Got the “Shrimp scampi” with angel hair. Noodle isn’t fully cooked (see the clump), 4 shrimps total, burnt bread with NO butter/garlic season. Asked for butter and white sauce for the noodle, NO FLAVOR AT ALL. For a $21 dish, this is the most disgusting, most bland food I’ve ever even tasted. There’s no sauce or anything. Do not come to this restaurant. It looks so nice and so glam, but the food is below average. Flavorless, expensive, boring.

This is a great restaurant to achieve some “upscale” out in the hinterlands. Classy setting, very good service, and very good, well-prepared food. Pork chops done perfectly, hamburgers done very nicely. Can get busy on Saturday evenings. We made a reservation to be safe.

Fried zucchini and asparagus are amazing, the best fried food and the best asparagus I ever had. The asparagus has perfect balance of charcoal, tender, juicy and fresh favor, the chef did such a great job! Also as a hotel and tourist kind of restaurant, it was such a good price for all the food. We were so surprised how good the food here. Highly recommended

Only way this place gets a two star is because the food wasn’t the worst I’ve ever tasted but I’d have a hard time remembering when I’ve had worse service. We decided to give this place a try because my wife had been wanting to come here for awhile. We were seated without any wait time after the greeter literally jumped up and down several times trying to see what tables were clean and available despite having a tablet on the desk that was supposed to show that information. Our waiter came around fairly quickly and took our drink order and we ordered an appetizer of chips and salsa. He brought our drinks and we ordered our food and then he must have crossed into another dimension where we didn’t exist because even though he wandered around the other side of the restaurant I couldn’t get his attention to ask to change my wife’s drink out for something different even with multiple attempts. After we had been there over 20 minutes some other random woman walked by our table and stopped and asked us if we had gotten any bread to which we replied no and that we also haven’t been able to speak to our waiter again to swap drinks and she said she’d take care of it and then she promptly also crossed into the dimension where we didn’t exist because we never seen her again. After almost 30 min our waiter showed back up to inform us that they were out of chips so we’d have to order another appetizer if we wanted one. So we did and also asked for the drink change for my wife and she also ordered an alcoholic beverage as well. After a few more minutes he returned with her new drink but not the alcoholic one and I guess it was lost in space between the two dimensions because it never showed up. After a few more minutes the new appetizer showed up with a salad that neither of us ordered but he was gone again before we could question it. After almost 45 minutes our food arrived by a different person and we asked him about bread which he then promptly brought ( have I mentioned there were less than 20 people besides us in the whole restaurant the whole time so they were far far from busy ) my steak was slightly under cooked and the seasoning on it just over powered the flavor of the steak but it was tender, the fries were pretty bland with very little if any seasoning. My wife said her noodles tasted like they had been warmed up in a microwave as well as the shrimp wasn’t seasoned good either and she wasn’t able to finish her meal. We decided to try a dessert to maybe make the experience a little bit better so we ordered the s-more and when it arrived the chocolate was literally boiling but upon starting to eat it we discovered the brownie was ice cold in the middle. Our drinks were never refilled and we heard more than one person around us complaining to their party about how the service was terrible and how different things they had ordered were done wrong or they were told it wasn’t available. All in all it wasn’t a pleasant experience, the appetizer was way over priced compared to the amount of food it came with , and even though the restaurant gave off a high class atmosphere the service and food didn’t even come close and I have no plans of ever returning and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I ordered the chicken fried steak on two different nights and both nights the steak was burned on the bottom. From looking at it before cutting into it it looked great. They conveniently put the burned side in the bottom. The second time I ordered the steak it was barely warm and literally tasted like it had been cooked for a few hours and reheated. The first time I had it, it was perfect. My wife ordered grilled chicken and it was not hot at all. Room temperature at best. Very disappointed this trip.
