Chuckwagon Banquet Hall is one of the few restaurants offering AYCE dining. It features good down-home cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was live entertainment when we visited. Seating is on long ranch style tables with benches, not chairs. The banquet hall is located on the 83 acre farm that formerly belonged to Reba McIntyre. It has been transformed into a wedding and getaway and event venue. The restaurant is only a piece of the total attraction at Starstruck Farms.

Went for the 2nd time for Sunday brunch. I was very happy to see that they have added taco shells, they had both hard and soft shells available. The soft shells were wrapped up in foil to keep fresh. Each wrapped up foil had 3 soft shell tacos. I will say, I think 2 would be sufficient. I don’t like to waste any food, so I made 3 tacos – given all the other options I think 2 would be fine. Everything we ate was good, and had no issues with the food temperature. The only reason we only gave 3 stars for atmosphere was the dining area was on the warm side. I’m not sure if they have a/c, they do have several overhead fans blowing, but it was on the warm side. And I was very pleased that they have changed the check procedure so you can now simply write your desired tip amount on the receipt. Our total bill before tip for 2 adults with 2 iced teas was $47.66. Given food quality and the fact it is all you can eat, thought it was a fair price.

Went for dinner 3/11, which was one of their first services, and apparently their first big service. Food was great and staff was awesome, but they were struggling to keep food out. Everyone rushed in at 5 and they were still getting stuff set out.

It was hotter than Hades in there. We had family in from Michigan and some from Nasville. I live here in Gallatin. This was my second visit, as I always give a place a second chance. All I could do is apologize to my guests. Building was sooooooo hot. Food was Luke warm at best. The ribs were good, everything else was almost inedible, even the desserts. We had 7 adults , a 5yo and a baby. Im so sorry I chose this place. I also have to say, very expensive for a 5yo that only ate a slice of pizza and a cookie. Terrible!!! The sad part is that it could be a really neat place to go.

So disappointing. We live here local and have always loved this property. Thought it was such a neat idea and finally popped into today to eat lunch. Wow, was it disappointing. Service was great, and the building is kinda neat, but it crashes from there. Buffet included 1 tiny section of luke warm, “italian” food, which I would say was microwave dinner quality. Even my kids who eat anything are asked to leave. The atmosphere was non-existent, and a/c might have been broken. Our server was so sweet, but we would never come back if this was the standard. Should have read the reviews ahead of time.

Went for the breakfast buffet. No coffee. No eggs. Bacon way overcooked. Waffle half cooked. They never refilled the eggs or the coffee. Definitely not worth the price. Waffle House does better than this.

Price was $19 per adult when we went for dinner, see it is now $21.99. As I indicated on tripadvisor, they need to provide taco shells. They have all the ingredients to make tacos, with the exception of the shells. Hopefully they add the shells. For a buffet, found it interesting that upon paying, they suggest a 20% tip on the bill, and you have to manually adjust if you don’t want to pay that high a tip for buffet service (You get your own food and drink). So 20% I guess is for bussing service.

Editing my review from today’s visit. 54 dollars for 2 adults to eat reheated catering food that I have to serve myself, get my own drinks, seat myself and my most of my visit today was spent fighting off flies. 22 dollars for an adult plus another 2 for a drink. I could eat for less at most places in Nashville and they would at least put up a fly strip. I’m leaving my praise below to show how it went from decent to bad but I will be avoiding a place like this that prices their warmed up buffet food at such a level and still requires me to swat the flies away from my extremely dry Mac and …. giant shells?

Staff was fun and friendly. Food was delicious. Music was great. Energy was out of this world. General Manager stopped by our table too make sure we were being taken care of which ended up being a 20 minute long chat making us feel like family. They really care about their guests and their staff. May have some growing pains but are well on their way to something very special. Can not wait to try there breakfast buffet.
