I’ve been living in Lynchburg for about 9 months now and never found my forever go to Chinese takeout place until I found New China. The food is fresh, hot, and delicious. This is supposed to be general tso with fried rice. It is hard as a rock and totally over cooked. Even my egg roll was over cooked. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time spending your money here. When I told the cook he said this is very popular and that this is how he’s done it for 30 years . This totally ruined my day and my lunch. I will never go back there again!!! Thank you!!!

the ABSOLUTE BEST in chinese food in the 24502 area!! i always buy the moo shu chicken and pancakes, pan fried dumplings, general tso’s chicken meal. always absolutely incredible! the pancakes are such thin beautiful crepes! other restaurants are as thick as tortillas! the moon shu chicken was absolutely scrumptious and i left the best menu item out… THE SPRING ROLLS ARE TO DIE FOR! best lil spot by far in the 24502!

This current take out only location is the best local Chinese food around. They are well priced and all orders are made fresh, hot and delicious. They tend to remember faces and orders which is very touching when least expected. Very lovely husband and wife couple who operate and cook each order with precision and quickly. Best Chinese food in Lynchburg Evington and Forest area.

I have been getting food from New China since I was a child and it is my favorite Chinese take out in Lynchburg. I absolutely adore this little place. My favorites are the Mongolian beef, pepper steak, and general tso’s chicken!

The service was very good but, unfortunately, the food was not great. The coating on the Orange Chicken was sort of “gummy” for lack of a better term (almost tasted undercooked, but the chicken inside was certainly cooked all the way through. The Lo Mein noodles were really bland, but the texture was good. The Spicy Pork was good, but not amazing. And the Beef and Broccoli was just “okay.” Being new to Lynchburg, we will try a number of other places before trying New China again. I’m sure some people love it, which is great, but it wasn’t our cup of tea.
