Love this out of the way spot. It’s affordable as it gets. Breakfast Burritos are tasty and made to order as well as a daily special. Simple, affordable and tasty everything you ever want in a burrito!!! Yay El JEFE!!!!

This place used to be good but it seems as the times have changed. Ordered a bacon breakfast burrito. It had maybe 2 little bites of bacon in the whole burrito. There was also barley any green chili. As others have said it’s basically just filled with mushy potatoes and a little bit of chili. Overall it was very bland and not worth the money. There are definitely better burrito places out there and are less expensive.

El Jefe’s used to have the best breakfast burritos but they have declined drastically in Biden’s America(I assume due to inflation but it could just be cheapskate owners). I ordered 3 big jefe burritos which are supposed to have double the meat. I’d hate to see how much meat is in a regular burrito. I literally got half a breakfast sausage link chopped up and a pound of undercooked hashbrowns in a grocery store tortilla. Breakfast burritos are supposed to have eggs, right? The green chili had good flavor but a teaspoon worth is hardly enough. I expected way better for $36.

Ordered breakfast burritos thought we would give them a second chance wrong move! There’s nothing in thier burritos but potatoes and there mushy like eating a mashed potato burrito couple pieces of egg and sausage they are horrible never again!! I don’t believe third times a charm. Tortillas are mushy too.

The fish tacos were ok. They definitely needed more tilapia. The service was not very friendly. The soft drink machine only had 2 flavors working. The eating area is dark and not very clean.

Went here once before. Street tacos were okay but extremely small and the fish tacos actually had a big slice of fish on it which was nice. Ordered the same thing this time and there was virtually nothing on the tiny taco shell and not very good. $15 for 4 street tacos shouldGet you a whole lot more. Don’t recommend this place

Horrible!! Ordered from them for years, but I placed an order for lunch and also ordered salsa today, which I paid for ($2.00). Then ordered extra salsa for the rest of my meal. After ordering, El Jefe charged me an additional $1.62 for a small portion of salsa! What!?!?!? For this??? I understand that it’s not much, but I order from them frequently. First photo is my regular order, next photo is for the extra charge!! . Yep…Never going through Grubhub again or ordering from El Fefe!!! . They took my review down!!!

I like this place. I really do. If you want super cheap and quick food it nails it. Sadly the biggest issue they have is consistency. Some days it is good and worth every cent. Some days the food is thrown together without care and with a lack of quality that is evident from the first bite.

Just ordered this off grubhub. It was absolutely disgusting. Ordered a Mexican hamburger. You could tell the beans were days old. The hamburger meat was hard. Waste of money don’t eat it
