Went for lunch at 11:20am today 3/31/23, placed our orders and I never received my order. Friends ate their food while I had to wait. I went to the counter to ask about my order and it took about five minutes before I was acknowledged. Ask about my food and they just looked at me and stared. Finally got an answer after I had to request that it be made to go. Waited for my food to be brought to me with the remark made to (NO APOLOGY) that they had alot of shrimp orders. If this is how your customers are treated I guess I want be back.

Never had Izzo’s before, so we gave it a try, coincidentally on “Taco Tuesday.” Both of my kids have very different ‘tastes;’ regardless, Izzos did NOT disappoint! We all did the Taco plates- Steak, Chicken, and Ground Beef- and we loved all of them. Needless to say, I can’t wait to try everything else!!

So, I’ve eaten at just about every izzos in the area from Baton Rouge to Gonzales and this is got to be by far the worst! I’m not basing my opinion off of one experience, but several. They’re hardly ever prepared and always out of main ingredients. Izzos itself is a great restaurant but I’d definitely skip this one and go to the nearest one to you.

One Star only do to the one worker who did three burritos at a time with no help, others stood there… or the other workers did small side orders (but put them in front of us and out the door quick) but did not help the young girl at all to help us out the door. There was no teamwork.. as a line formed behind us, no one but that one worker tried to hurry to get the line moving. Others put together items very sloppy I saw all this due to the three burritos trying to be made by this hard worker while they watched, and she asked for queso and they brought it to her slow on purpose.. all three burritos were cold by this time. Hot sauces or salsas are not real, I don’t know what that is…disgusting. @$55 for three burritos one small and three drinks. Not worth it… now that is Illegal. Terrible

The place was absolutely disgusting. Food all over the floor and mixed together. I used to work in the food industry. It’s that hard to keep it clean. My wife asked for extra cheese on her burrito. I watched the girl literally take the scoop and dump the while scoop on the floor. I asked for Habenaro salsa on my burrito. She put so much on there I couldn’t eat it. I’m normally not the kind of person to complain, but this absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at Izzo’s.

Our entire order was messed up. First a lot of things we wanted were not in our bowls. I can’t have Spanish rice due to sever allergies and it was in my bowl my daughter couldn’t switch with me because I am allergic to the shrimp in her bowl. She had my brown rice in her bowl. My husband and daughter said the food tasted like a salt lick. We will never eat at Izzos again.
