At our Ruston, LA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The place was dirty! I’m very particular on cleanliness. Young lady was slouched over the counter. However she was pleasant. My thoughts were I’m sorry you have to be here if you don’t want to. Food was good. Tables were dirty saw several employees in back so was fully staffed to clean the lobby area. We love our Captain D’s please keep it clean and presentable for public use. Respectfully concerned patron.

I’ve always got between a 30 and 40 ft trailer on my truck and this place is very convenient to get into because it has a jewelry shop with a large parking lot beside it. The food is always good and the service is always awesome. The restaurant itself could be cleaner, but they are super busy so we can definitely chalk it up to that

Lord knows I had one of the best experiences stopping here to eat. The manager and everybody were so nice, helpful and sweet. Especially the young lady who took my order. I think her name was Shymira or shymariah. She was so sweet respectful and nice. What a great change to see n young people these days. Walked in and didn’t get greeted at all, that’s ok, but there was a girl at the counter straight up staring out into the distance. She only snapped out of it when someone went through the drive through. There were workers and what I assume was a manager were sitting in the lobby being a bit loud. That didn’t last too long. But after we got our order,the drive though girl had sat down on the other side of us and got really irritated that someone came through. I went to the bathroom,it stank to high heck. The food was good…….

Lawd knows I must love my father. I pulled up at 8:27pm and I’m still waiting in the drive through. I’m almost to the window, there are 2 cars ahead of me. It’s 9:07pm now. This is not knew and the one reason I never come here on my own desire. And it’ll be the one reason I never come back. My father can waste an hour of his own time! Friends, don’t do it. You know the food is going to be cold. I finally got my food at 9:16pm.

I ordered the Number 1. The “Giant Fish Sandwich”. This is what I got. I asked if this was the normal amount of fries that came with the meal. Her response to me was, “That’s not enough for you?” I was told that this was the normal amount and that I couldn’t have anymore. The fish on the sandwich also wasnt even hot, calling it warm would be a stretch. I definitely wont be eating here again.
