This may have been one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Seriously this burger is juicy and savory, the pickles and sauce add a bit of sweetness and sourness and the flavors meld together beautifully. Some fresh heirloom tomatoes as a side dish and a pulpo (octopus) appetizer with the burger for two was sufficient!

Best new addition to the neighborhood in the past year, bar none. The staff was so attentive, kind, knowledgeable, relatable, and funny. My (pregnant) wife and I knew we wanted to have a special dinner and Gus’ absolutely delivered. My wife had the Phony Negroni and loved it. I had two margaritas and greatly enjoyed them. $17 is on par for a cocktail but paired with only $32 for my whole meal, it was a perfect combination. We each did the Sunday roast – her the tri-tip, me the pork shoulder. Both came with all the sides, including: brussel sprouts, a popover, French fries & salad (the brussel sprouts may steal the show). My pork shoulder was nothing like I excepted, I expected more pull apart taco style, but it was deliciously tender and melt in your mouth strips instead. We saw multiple tables all with different things, but everyone enjoying. Clearly you can’t go wrong. 10/10 must visit and will be going back!

I was stoked to come here for Sunday roast – I’m British so it’s a tradition I miss. Given the good reviews from others, I suspect I was just unlucky.

Incredibly happy to have Gus’s in the neighborhood! The food and vibe were great. Everyone was friendly and attentive! This is a great spot for a date night. Their wine list is also . Whatever you do, please get the ribeye if it’s on the night special! The best I’ve ever had. The hashbrown and panisse dishes were also unique and delicious. Will definitely be back!

An amazing addition to the Brooklyn dining scene. Refined dishes, yet super approachable and a true neighborhood gem. Especially enjoy no-corkage fee Monday, but will return to try the wines on their list.

Our food was average quality at a high price. I would avoid the “Dry Aged Rib Eye for Two”. It was over-cooked for medium-rare, unremarkable in any other way, and very expensive at $153. The service and wine list are good.

Highly recommend Gus’s Chop House. Had a great steak and delicious chicken liver mousse and fries. Loved the house made crackers that came with the mousse. The vibe, the staff, the service was great. Friendly neighborhood spot with great food. Will definitely return and hope they stay in the neighborhood.

an unpretentious, delicious, and simple (that’s a good thing!) restaurant in the neighborhood. It’s an accessible menu: ordered the chicken (which was very scary looking but so savory and delicious with onion au jus, lemon, and thyme that I quickly got over it), the panisse was creamy yet crispy, and we enjoyed some of the best creme brulee I’ve ever had for dessert!
