The restaurant looks new and is attached to the hotel, so it was super easy to catch breakfast on the way out of town Sunday morning. Especially since we didn’t have a car. My eggs were scorched, the biscuit and gravy were decent, and the ham steak was good.

Ate here for breakfast and dinner since it was so convenient to the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised both times at the quality of the food. The service was fast and they were very nice. The prices were very fair as well.

I had a smoked huckleberry chicken burger, which was spicy, crunchy, and tangy. The JoJo potatoes were a nice side. Hubby had the chicken fried steak, which was about as expected. Gumbo soup was excellent. Local craft beer selection was good. Server was nice. Food was fast.

In our party of 8, 3 of our orders were cooked incorrectly. The waitress was kind enough to comp them but the meals were subpar. The cooks don’t know the meaning of “medium rare” or they must have forgot about my steak while cooking. I would stick to the basic foods and stay away from the “fancy” over priced food from the learning cooks

We’ve eaten meals here. However lately they’ve been salting things to heavy. Soups have been chokedown salty. Gravy salty, damn if tgey could hold back on the salt, the food would be good. First rule in seasoning, “you can always add but you can’t take away “

Tried 4 things on the menu. It was all pretty terrible, especially for the price. Would not recommend eating here.

This is a convenient place to dine if you’re staying at the Cottonwood Inn. They have a pretty spacious dining room and separate bar area. The menu covers all of the bases: seafood, steaks, breakfast, dinner plates, wings,.. whatever you’re in the mood for. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth because portions are generous, and dinner entrees come with unlimited soups or salads. On the down side, the food is pretty mediocre. Nothing really has flavor, so you’ll have to rely heavily on condiments, salt, and pepper to get a decent meal. I don’t know if Glasgow has much better to offer, so I wouldn’t deter you from giving The Wood a try.
