Atmosphere was nice, service was friendly and food was ok. The taco salad was good and the portion size was perfect for me however my husband had the french dip and the portion was small, not much meat. The live music was nice but a little loud, we couldn’t carry on a conversation at the table. Overall we love that we had a place to stop on the water, safely park the boat and grab a drink and a quick bite.

Atmosphere and service pretty good, food is hit or miss depending on the day. A lot of ‘recently frozen’ bar food. Lots of TVs and some live music on weekends. The bad – parking if you’re a boat. It’s at the most popular marina on the lake and centrally located so at lunch or dinner time, good luck finding an open slip. Not that they don’t have enough, just a lot of people showing up at the same time. We’re frequent visitors, not bad a bad place, just manage your expectations.

On google and on their web site is clearly says they are open to 10:00 pm on Wednesday nights. We pulled up by boat and walked in at 8:45 and the first thing we were told was not “hi y’all welcome to the island” but “we close at 9:00”. As a local who frequents all restaurants in the area and on the lake it had been a while since we’d been to the island. For this exact same reason is why it had been a while. Poor service and we don’t care attitude. Worst service on Lake Texoma.

Great place after a long day on the lake, but it would be nice if there was an option to enjoy the music but not have it be so overbearing. It’s difficult to place your order when your staff can not even hear us with screaming into one another’s ears. I love live music, but it’s not necessary to blast it throughout the neighborhood.

We came about a month ago when they had live music. The speakers & band overwhelmed the singer so much the waitress could not take our order without us yelling or texting the order. The service took forever. We gave it another try tonight. We sat over 45 min before we got our drinks. By then we ordered appetizers & our food. Appetizers did not come out until our food did & appetizers were cold. Waitress never came to check on drinks either. There were 5 waitresses so I would not say the server was overwhelmed. I would not recommend coming here for a concert or after a long day on the lake. On a Sunday after 5pm there are not many options on the lake though.

The service was great. The loaded fries were delicious and could have been a meal to themselves. The rest was ok. The onion rings were way overdone, but the Philly sandwich, though light on the amount of meat, was good. Overall, a nice place on the water.

we arrived at 8:51 pm with a party of 7 only to be told kitchen closed. website says 10pm so we thought we had plenty of time, was told if not busy kitchen closes early, very rude girl at hostess stand. i said its not 9 so yall should seat us and her response was we want to go home early tonight. So moral of this is dont go by website and be prepared not to eat if coming of water close to 9

Outstanding! I was looking for a fun place to ride my Harley to (I live in Allen TX) and thought I’d give this a try. I was a little concerned after reading some of the other reviews about food, service, music etc. but I went anyway. I had so much fun I went back two says later. Both times the service was outstanding! The food is very good “bar food” and the sidewinder fries are great. (It’s not fine dining but better than most bar food). The views on the lake/marina were perfect. Very well stocked bar with fair prices all around. For the riders out there, find back roads to Prosper/Celina then take Preston north until you are practically there. Preston is very rural up there. (I went to Anna then west on 455 through Weston and in to Preston. It added 15 miles but was super pretty). It’s 60 miles from lifetime Fitness at Lake Forest and 121 in Allen).

Hit it miss with the food here. Seems to be a constant all of the restaurants on the lake..stuffed avocados sometimes not ripe and sometimes perfect!
