Had a Lovely Lunch at Halvorson’s today. We stumbled upon it walking through town and noticed that we wouldn’t need to wait an hour to eat here! It was about 15 minutes on the wait and we got seated outside as we were offered a choice. The staff was kind and service was prompt. The food was very good. We had 2 different types of turkey sandwiches and both were great. We also ordered a side salad, pickled beets and mushrooms and those were fantastic. Everything was great and no complaints to be found here. Enjoy!

Haven’t been to Halvorson’s in awhile. Dropped in. Just before brunch menu ended and lunch menu was happening on a busy Saturday with my family. We got a nice table inside by the window. My husband got the beef breakfast tacos with great cuts of meat and my daughter got the French toast which was an abundant stack with plenty of maple syrup. I enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich with a great dressing of lettuce, tomato, onion and guacamole. We loved sharing the basket of hand cut fries. Staff was attentive and we had a great time there. The ambiance is cozy and great place to stop in and lots of wonderful spaces to sit inside and on Church Street.

Great food. We got the spinach artichoke dip which was amazing, just very filling. Then we had gotten the margarita flatbread and the california burger which were both delicious! Server was very kind. Great prices compared to the rest of the city.

Bartender was great! Great sense of humor and entertaining. Wings and Chirozo fries were killer!

Wings are 9/10. Pictured is the lemon garlic dry rub. Skin was crispy, the meat tender, and the lemon garlic was spot on. Definitely coming back.

Our server Lily was amazing, she was super kind and answered all of our questions. She checked in on us regularly, and always was smiling while doing so despite the rather crowded and busy conditions at lunch that day. Our food came out quick and was delicious (although be warned the portions are HUGE). Overall it was a really great experience and we would come back for the service alone.

My class had a reunion event in the back of the restaurant. It was a very nice place to be together in. Although the AC may need to be larger for the space.

One of the few stalwarts of solid dining on Church Street has decided that fries should only be served in portions the size of an adult head, not terribly appropriate for a single person eating a burger on a pleasant Friday evening. Is $6 egregious? Probably not, but it’s just another part of the death by a thousand increments of hidden french fry fees. How many $6s must we endure? Lovely staff. Fine food for inflated prices.

Great courtyard area and atmosphere. food was good, not great, drinks were basic not memorable, but the old style feel of the place makes it a great place to just hang and enjoy the evening.
