This was the gem of dinning for this trip. It’s barbecue almost as good as a Texas road house. Including the music and atmosphere. The pork was perfect, beef above average, skipped the chicken. The chili was also respectable, hardy with plenty of chili flavor and beef. The nachos were only missing jalapeños, but the was plenty of cheese and the chips were great. The back patio is the best view, and the service was great!

JUST GO! We accidentally disovered this place driving back from Waimea Canyon and had a ball. Ok, the food is not exactly Michelin star stuff but it’s fine for what you are paying. It’s peacefull, relaxed, great views, good selection of draft beers you can pour yourself,…. The total experience for us and the kids!

UPDATE: I just spoke the owner, Clyde I believe. Sorry I should have written it down. He was super professional and apologized for what happened. He also offered me a full refund and a gift card. He knew I was a loyal customer and responded with great appreciation and willingness to fix the issue. As a supervisor myself, I can appreciate that things happen. What matters is how it’s handled! How he handled it was above and beyond! Very appreciative!

We had a great meal here after hiking Waimea Canyon. The atmosphere is lovely. Head to the back of the restaurant for ocean views and the scenic old Hawaii plantation. We ordered two chicken plates with a couple of sides and enjoyed our food. Would definitely recommend this place over eating in town just off the main road.
