I recently ordered from Akasaka this past weekend and I have to say this might be my new favorite sushi place. I ordered the sushi & roll platter to share with a few friends and we all agreed that the rolls and sashimi tasted so fresh. They were so accommodating when I asked to get toro sushi (for an additional fee) in the platter instead. Their miso soup was seasoned perfectly, not too bland or salty. Also, I love how they gave us plenty of wasabi and ginger. Support your local business and order from Akasaka!

they charged me 16 dollars for this roll and advertised it as real crab meat even though it’s imitation. They are complete rip offs check your food before you leave

Got a large sashimi platter for Thanksgiving. Glad they were open but also wish they weren’t. Small portions, not overly tasty sushi, and way overpriced for what you get. That platter cost $120. Nope, not ever again.

This was my first time here. Because I saw all the fascinating reviews, I thought this place must be good. Well. I saw the acknowledgment plates on the wall that the owners worked for decades at famous hotels in Korea and Japan. I ordered sushi platters for my family event. It turned out embarrassment.

TAKE OUT ONLY! It was good but not as good as I expected. The Wasabi was water down, the rice seemed slightly wet, and the special roll was only 5 pieces (I would’ve bought another roll if I knew). But the fish was fresh and the rolls are tasty. Not bad for a take out sushi place.

Food was TOP notch, fresh, and delicious!!! I am so happy that I live close enough now to order more often. Had a party and everyone was raving about the quality and the taste. The people working here were accommodating to our needs and were very friendly. 10/10 recommend!

Waitress was friendly. Food was ok. Soft shell crab was good, not too much batter. Most fish pieces were thin or small. Tasted fresh. Salmon cuts were not good. Chirashi deluxe was 14 pieces of fish. Tofu apertizer was good. Price was ok for the portion.

Great sushi platters! We’ve gotten the sushi and rolls platters numerous times, all days of the week. The fish is always fresh and flavorful. Our extended family always asks for sushi from here for family gatherings. We’ve tried other sushi takeout in the area but we always come back to Akasaka.

This is definitely a one time place. Now I know I really should pay attention to negative reviews. They are there for reasons. No one patronizes an establishment intending to give a bad review, they do it with expectation of great experience of their product or services. Having said that, I even let them know I am new to the area and this is my first time ordering. Maybe I should have lowered my expectations? I have never had “Deluxe Sushi” consisting of only four types fish. Typical of tuna, salmon and two white fish of rather low grade. Usually expect to see eels, shrimp, squid if not more but was I wrong! Oh, one thing that turned me off even more was the fish was warm to touch. Simply put, this was not worth the container it was placed in. A one time place indeed.
