Clean, friendly, good pizza but they are stingy on cheese. Get extra cheese and you will have tasty pizza! Mushrooms on pizza are the wet boxed or canned type, not fresh. But the crust is good which makes the pizza for me.

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten! Love the atmosphere and the owner is an incredible person with an awesome story. Great food friendly staff, and she still has the original 3 quarter turn jukebox that she bought when she opened and it still works. And speaking of working, the owner who is 93 years old works 12 hours a day hand making the pizzas herself every day and has since she opened many years ago using authentic family recipes. It is definitely a treat to visit if you are ever in the area.

Lottie and waitress was very nice. Food, left much to be desired. I couldn’t believe they didn’t have sweet tea! The unsweetened tea I ordered was so horrible and I couldn’t drink it. The pizza, even though I known it’s from scratch was not good – tasted more like a frozen pizza heated up. I love the idea that this place has been around forever and that she is still doing what she loves at 93, but I just can’t throw away my money on food that isn’t worth it.

Got the Mama Mia’s Special pizza. Excellent fresh toppings! The pizza sauce is fantastc and the dough/crust is very good. The spaghetti with meat sauce was wonderful. A slightly zesty sauce – yum. We got meatballs on it, too (additional charge). They were delicious. The bread seved with the spaghetti was good, not great (no butter). Staff was pleasant but appeared to be stretched too thin to handle a Friday night crowd.

Awesome local pizza with super friendly and super sweet staff. When I went here for the first time on a date with my boyfriend, the waitress was so sweet and told us a little about their story. Mama Mia herself is still making pizzas today, at over 90 years old!

Love Mama Mia’s! It is our go to for dinner about once per month. The pizza dough homemade and spun to order. Momma is almost always there spinning dough. The crust is always cooked to perfection. Be sure to take cash as debit cards are not taken. She does take checks but only local ones.

My favorite restaurant in all of Roane County! Lottie the owner is a local treasure that can still be seen slinging dough regularly at the age of 93!

This place is a staple of our town. Opened in the 70’s, a lot of people have grown up eating here, including myself. They also make the only Speghetti my son will eat, and Lotti, and the rest of the staff always takes the best care of us.

Mama Mia’s was one of my aunt’s favorite restaurants so it seemed fitting to stop there after visiting hours at the funeral home when my aunt passed away. About thirty of us went in ON THE SPUR OF THE MOMENT without advance notice about 730pm on a Friday night! We were greeted graciously; and the staff QUICKLY took us to the large back room, pushed tables together and seated us. Some ordered pizzas with varied toppings; some ordered spaghetti & salad; some meatball sandwiches; etc and everyone wanted water & other beverages. Let me tell you the beverages & salads with bread came out first (as they should) and the meals were all served promptly at the same time…with smiles, I might add! We were able to say our Grace and enjoy our delicious meals together – at the same time – without further ado. THIRTY OF US! It was amazing!

We wanted to try this restaurant we had heard so much about and finally had the chance to eat there with my Husband and my Dad tonight. We walked in about 10 til 6, we were never greeted by a single employee. We finally noticed the half covered sign that said to seat ourselves. So we looked around for a table and only found 4 unoccupied tables that were not bussed. So we stood around one of the unbussed tables for a couple minutes. And suddenly we heard a “waitress” yell from across the restaurant and behind a wall that she “would get that table in just a minute folks” which I could only assume was directed towards us, or at least we hoped it was directed towards us. At this time the waitress bussed the other 3 tables that no one was waiting for instead of the one we were standing around. We waited another few minutes and then decided to just go ahead and sit down at the unbussed table. We waited, seated at a dirty table for another 10-12 minutes.. Watched her deliver food, seat people, and take their orders. Finally we got up to leave. Not a single word from any of the employees. Saw a couple waiting at the door so I told them they had some smaller tables but if they wanted the bigger table we just left, the waitress said she would get it bussed in just a few minutes. I then turn around to see the “waitress” grabbing menus for them and mocking me behind my back by throwing her arms up, shrugging her shoulders and rolling her eyes to the couple as if I was being rude and unreasonable with what I said. Then the “waitress” proceed to seat them at the same table we just left and bus it immediately as they sat down and take their drink orders. The “waitress” behavior after I spoke to the couple at the door was uncalled for and disrespectful. I stopped and asked if this was normal for a Friday night, to not have clean tables, have no service, and to not be acknowledged as a paying guest at their establishment.. the waitress had even worse attitude say ” yes, yes it was ” and just walked away. I couldn’t believe that was the way were treated on our first attempt to eat there. So much for a “family” restaurant with “wonderful and friendly staff”. We were so excited to finally have a chance to try “a real treat” in Kingston and now I have no intention of recommending it anyone or ever trying it again.
