Host was very accommodating on a busy Saturday night. Got us a beautiful table. Food was absolutely amazing, Chef David Slay himself came by the table to greet us and give us recommendations. Heard we were celebrating a graduation and they sent us out desserts! What a wonderful experience! Must come to the Slay restaurants for special occasions!! They’ve made it a memorable one. I have been to Fete a number of times and absolutely love the ambiance. What I love about Chef David Slay’s restaurants is the attention to detail in decor (you feel like you are in Europe or in the Village in NYC) from the monkey wallpaper, to the lighting fixtures, vintage art work and the beautiful elegant refined bar.

The food was delicious. The service was fine- but they tried to take my plate (with fries remaining) away twice….my utensils were not at the universal sign for removing.but maybe there is a learning curve …not a big problem. My issue was not with the charming atmosphere..it was with the noise level. It seems that all the other patrons were trying to yell above their parties as well as the other tables. At first I faulted the hard surfaces of the restaurant…but then I realized it was the patrons themselves. Sheesh. Quiet dinner conversation? No- basic conversation was shouting. Transformed this sweet little restaurant into a frat party vibe. Whatever you do- sit outside along the sidewalk so you can enjoy your meal and hear your companions!
