We ate outside with bunch of flies. I ordered the take 2 BBQ. It was supposed to be burnt ends and brisket. Half of the burnt ends were just fat chunks. The brisket isn’t brisket. My sister ordered a chicken bacon avocado wrap and asked waitress if tomato came on it, she said no. Got the wrap it had tomato and hard avocado! Our waitress wasn’t pleasant and needed about three more of her to keep up. We won’t be coming back here again.

This is just another one of my favorite places that I don’t get to visit often. Their staff is so friendly! The food is always great too. One of the things I really enjoy is their Prime George. It’s their little chicken strips that are normally dipped in batter and fried. But these are naked strips that are grilled instead. Really tasty option to get away from all of the starchy breading on food.

7-29-23. This whole thing needs a rewrite. This time the service was great! Thank you, Kim. The food is WAY overpriced. Way way overpriced. Three shrimp on a hotdog sized roll is supposed to pass for a shrimp poboy?! $12.99?! Give me a break. First review: A great place to hang out. The place was jumping on Sunday afternoon around 1PM. There were three of us; we had the BLT, the Cuban and pulled pork with fries. The food was great & everyone was happy. The only thing that was not so great was the service. And, honestly I think that is because the wait person had too many tables. She was very nice, but I had to chase her down a couple of times and we ran out of beer more than once. All-in-all a great experience and we’ll go back. Went back. Trash can fries… OMG. This time the service was beyond exceptional. 6-23-21 update: probably won’t go back. Service was poor, out of stock on beer selections, portions were small, food was greasy and unappealing. Just not a good time out. From five stars to two stars – that is pretty sad.

I was only in the restaurant to pick up an online order and to have a beer on my way through town and I’m so glad I did. Excellent bar tender named Evan and was tended to by multiple staff in just the few minutes I was there. Will definitely come back.

My husband and I decided to go to dinner here because they have a very nice out door dining area. They seem to take the covid recommendations seriously so we felt comfortable dining there. The parking was plentiful and convenient with a nice ramp for easy wheelchair access. Our server was outstanding, very friendly and efficient. As soon as we were sat they delivered a little basket of muffins with a sweet butter. We ordered a cheese curd appetizer which was different from any we have ever had but they were very good, I highly recommended them. One order was a combo plate, first choice was kielbasa and chicken george but they didn’t have kielbasa so switched it to shrimp with a side of onion rings. The onion rings were awful, they were cold and hard so I recommend choosing something else. The other meal was a pulled pork sandwich which came with coleslaw and an onion rings on it and a side of onion rings which were cold also. Other than the onion rings the food was outstanding. I can’t attest to the bar drinks as we didn’t partake this trip but in the past the rum buckets were very good. The restaurant was very clean however the floors were very slick, especially the restrooms.

It’s a very nice place and the staff was great, but $7.00 for pint of standard beers is just way to much, one and done, had the beer prices been reasonable we would have stayed and had more and most likely had dinner. These places are just pricing themselves out of business.

It is one of the nicer restaurants in Dixon. Modern and well laid out. Good beer selection. The staff was friendly and offered good service. 4 of us dined, and both got the pound of Chicken George to split. Sadly, Chicken George used to be a great local dish, but over the years, others like BBY and Maria’s pizza have beat this old standby, offering much meatier and consistent chicken. The George we had was overcooked somewhat and tough and chewy. I did try and get the brisket and burnt ends, but they were sold out of both.
