Friendly family diner with cute decor. Our sandwiches and soup were very good. Could only be better if they made their own ranch. Restaurant was clean and it was fun seeing the locals tease each other.

The food and selection was excellent! The blueberry pancake was fantastic but I wish they would have said it wasn’t more than one. They were super busy but it shouldn’t have been a surprise and I would have thought they would have planned for it. None the less it was a very tasty breakfast.

I just had the worst meal I have ever ate. I ordered the prime rib special, waited 45 min to be served. They brought it to me cold. My girlfriend ordered ribeye, med. rare, her came burnt and charred. When we told are waitress she said mine was cold because we were setting over a floor vent. All she could do was take 5.00 my girlfriends meal. Well the waitress got 0 tip and we won’t be going back to chubbys again ‍♂️ did ownership change because I have ate there for years and never had any complaints. Hopefully they see this and try to earn my business back. I gave them 1 star because O wasn’t an option.

After 13 years of eating there, we had the worst food ever!! I don’t know what has happened but we are disappointed. We have been going over to the bar/restaurant across the street. We have never had a bad meal there.

This is one of those gems which most people never find. Orland is a wide spot in the road with a 4-way-stop-sign at the main intersection in town. As such, there aren’t many places to eat, and none of them is a gourmet dining establishment. However, I was surprised when I stopped in there this morning for breakfast and found that one of the specials was a lobster omelet. HUH? This place is known for its biscuits and gravy (breakfast) and hamburger steak (lunch/dinner). I ordered it because at $8.99, I had very little to lose. I honestly figured it was going to be a plain omelet over which someone had waved an empty lobster shell for a few seconds. I was unbelievably surprised when I was served. This was a 2 egg omelet, which before being folded, had two slices of crispy bacon covered liberally with what appeared to be a half cream cheese and half lobster mixture with a mere hint of a lemon juice squeeze, melting and oozing out from the ends when served, and with a couple tasty slices of tomato on top. It was real lobster (or such a good imitation that I couldn’t tell the difference, and I’ve had lobster enough to know its taste and texture) and it was not hard to find at all inside. I am positive that either they received an unordered case of lobster and didn’t have to pay for it, or they will soon be out of business for serving $10 worth of lobster in a $9 omelet.
