If i could leave no star’s i would. They have a special going on that u buy one get one for 4.99. As were checking out i see the total pop up as my card is already in the machine i tell him hey u charged me wrong he said to late since i didn’t say anything. I told him i literally pointed to ur sign when i ordered and i ordered in spanish to make the guy more comfortable. They are always doing this. Take the special down if you are not going to honor it i hate that place. My daughter asked me to please not make a scene so i decided to let everyone know here please ask for a total before they try to get one over on you for no reason.

Sarku Japan is pretty dang good for mall food. I always order the chicken teriyaki or the shrimp and Chicken Teriyaki, and it’s always great. Highly recommend if you are at the mall and looking for a cheap eat.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. Having to deal with the special they have, they also have this card that if you buy a meal, you get a stamp, fill out the card and you get a free meal, BUT even if you get buy 1 get half off, they won’t even give you ONE stamp for the FULLYPRICED meal. It doesn’t say anywhere on the card or the promo about not getting one. I’m disappointed and if their chicken wasn’t as good as it is I’d probably would have only gave it one star.

5/19/23 went to Sarku Japan, Oak Park Mall. Ordered 1 combo chicken/shrimp with fried rice. Meal was $11.50. handed the cashier $20 bill, the cashier handing me back. $8 and 2 nickels folded in my hand. I noticed a nickel slid out. I then counted my money. Told him that he gave me two nickels instead of two quarters. The employees began to speak in their language then telling me they gave me the correct change. Someone came from the back argued pointing to tip jar. The whole experience was really weird. Bottom line, it may have only been 40 cent but it was mine! Dispute was ridiculously asinine!!! Sarku Japan are deliberately cheating customers & pretending they can’t speak English! Sarku did return my 2 quarters then demanded the 3 nickels . This practice is conniving & diabolical. I’m quite sure I wasn’t the first to fall into Sarku Japan’s sinister scheme . No matter how you look at it. It is theft!!!!!!!! It’s not about the money. It is the principal of the matter!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Decent mall sushi place. Got the signature dish teriyaki sicken bento, as it has a little bit of everything they offer. Dumplings are good, rice is great, meat is a little sparse but was all cooked, salads are cold, but do have bits where they were starting to wilt. The Cali rolls are small (you get 4 pc) and warmer than I would have liked. For an $11 dish it was good and a lot of food. The amount of food the dish has is why you don’t get as much meat and that’s fine.

I’ve tried Sarku japan in several states but this is the best restaurant among all of them. The food is perfect and super yummy. Staff are so friendly and nice. This is what you need from a restaurant to fill your stomach with great healthy food. Try the teriyaki chicken when have a chance.
