We stopped in to have another pork potato and brisket potato. They are so good. The Fried Pickles and BBQ Nachoes were okay but would try something different next time. They did not have any ice cream which was one of the main reasons we drove over an hour to eat

We came for supper on a recommendation of friends. The pork we ordered was very good, but with an hour and forty five minutes to close, it was the only smoked option. Everything else was sold out along with baked potatoes. We may have to opt for an earlier supper time next time! The butter pecan ice cream was out of this world. We ordered it along with the coconut & pineapple. We were still happy with our meal and dessert.

It was ok! I had the fish and it was fairly good. The white beans texture was good but they forgot to put in a ham hock or something to season them. Just plain beans with no seasonings at all!!! Hush puppies were tiny. I will say the coleslaw and potato salad was good. They definitely need someone with a little soul to handle the cooking.

The BBQ smoked brisket was smoky, juicy and had just the right amount of seasoning. The battered fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I only wish I saw the loaded tots go by before I had ordered. It’s a monster. The servers were friendly and patient. There was a bit of a wait, but I wasn’t there at a prime meal time. If I had one complaint, it would be the tiny drinking straws. They’re only about 1/8 of an inch wide. Beyond that it was an excellent meal

This place is a rural gem. The food is always excellent. Anything I have ever eaten there is very good. The homemade ice cream is heavenly! They have different flavors on random days. Just ask your wait staff what’s the flavor of the day. My only slight wish is that the tables weren’t quite so big. The dining room carries sound and can be loud enough that conversation across the table is difficult. However, the food makes it worth a little shouting across the table. Lol…

The Beef BBQ sandwich is the star of the show. The fried pickles are alright. I’d not get the pork BBQ sandwich again; it was kinda tasteless. The house sauce is pretty good. The looks of the restaurant is top notch. They obviously spent a lot of time and money on the aesthetic of the place.
