I was confused with the bad reviews but I think most people haven’t had true authentic Mediterranean food. 10/10 recommended. You get what you pay for. I love greek food and I love Adam’s kitchen.

Not good at all, I was very disappointed, Mediterranean food is one of my favorites and I wanted to present it to my parents who came from Brazil to visit me. Starting with the fact that we ordered the 19.90 plates that did not include hummus to accompany the pita bread ( The web site is outdated) on the plate 3 items with dry rice, coarse salad and meat without seasoning, dry and hard. They managed to destroy the “filé mignon” (it was never filet mignon here or on Mars). The lamb was dry and Kafta jezzzzzzzz all meats taste like reheated. The only thing that escaped was the shawarma chicken that was good. The service was okay but I was very sad about the food.

Found this place on Google when we were visiting Charleston, and we loved it. I had muhamarra for the first time, and now I’m hooked. We’ll definitely be visiting here again.

I tried the lamb gyro (it was excellent). Food was hot, service was fast. The taste was much more authentic than other places in town. It did not disappoint.

Sneaky hidden away spot. Food is fantastic Greek expertly served. Fresh platters hot and cold side by side. Pictured chicken and beef platters served with pita bread toasted.

WARNING: This is not only the best Mediterranean spot in Charleston, it’s the best in the southeast. Adam runs this place with a level of love for his craft and the result is a Greek/Turkish place you can count on. Adam uses the best ingredients and really takes the time to perfect every dish. The iskender kebab is the best we’ve ever had. Make sure to get hummus and pita on every visit. People like Adam are who make Charleston a genuine celebration of culinary art.

Avoid this place unless you want to overpay for a few meager pieces of tough gristle, a whole lot of tasteless rice, and wilted brown lettuce to offset what you aren’t getting. Another reviewer called this the best Mediterranean food in Charleston? Any frozen food menu item from your grocery store is better, and at half the price. Sad that this place went in after Ali Baba left– which was genuinely a very good restaurant. Adams Kitchen is nearly inedible, and this is the second time I made the mistake of going here. Paltry portions (unless you’re a vegetarian, I suppose) and way overpriced. Skip it.

First & last time here. Sorry we tried but the value for the money and lack of customer service isn’t worth a second try for us it for Adam’s Kitchen.

My shwarma was decent, but I will not be back because this is a very filthy restaurant. The basket my food was served in was very sticky and looked like it had never been washed. My chair was also sticky. The bathroom I used to wash the stickiness off my hands had caked on dirt on the floors and the light did not work. I am not a particularly picky person when it comes to cleanliness, but this was too much for me to stomach.
