Outstanding. The crab rangoon was the best I’ve ever had anywhere, and the crab leg segments wrapped in bacon were also the best I’ve ever had. Other items I sampled were fried rice, lo mein, coconut shrimp, bourbon chicken, General Tso’s chicken and a piece of mocha chocolate cake. There were lots and lots of other items too numerous to mention, and they all looked good. They have all of your favorite Chinese food items you’d expect to find in a little mom and pop place. The price was very reasonable, and they gave me a senior discount without me asking. The regular price on the Sunday evening when we ate was $9.95 if I remember correctly (I remember for sure it was something under 10 bucks). The price ranges depending on the day of the week and the time of day I think I remember that the weekday lunch time price was $6.95. I live 31 miles from Hillsboro, but if I lived near this restaurant I’d eat there often.

Seems like they have fallen over the years. Unlike the rumor mill back in 1985+ before Stephano’s when the first Chinese place arrived across from the old Hillsboro High School and had really good food and a huge egg roll for $1 that was almost a full meal and went there every day during lunch to play Donkey Kong Junior with a friend.

Jane’s Homemade Goodness
There is a lot if clutter when you first walk in making it look like it is shutdown. I have ate there twice for the buffet. The selection isn’t too bad. They only fill according to how busy they are so food is not sitting there. A few items have been over cooked but otherwise flavor has been pretty good and I would gladly go back. Everything seems fairly clean including the bathroom which I found impressive.

Food was good last visit (2/22/23). However, they tried overcharging me (had to give me change) and then tried to keep my credit card. When asking for it back, the cashier tried to claim there was no name on the card. Be careful using debit/credit cards there.

Maybe it’s the time I went but all the food was cold and the chicken was tough. Like it was left over from lunch? But we went at 7pm. I’ve been here before and the food was amazing. I will say they had a decent selection of food.
