The food is very good, especially the special breakfast on weekends. The avocado in the California Benedict is undercooked and hard. The crayfish in the shrimp omelette is a local specialty. I was pleasantly surprised. The service will be slow before 8 am. If you are in a hurry Suitable

I ordered the Fried Fish Plate. It was delicious! Fried just right, not greasy. Seasoned, but not too spicy! Perfect! I got 3 very nice size pieces of fish, cole slaw, fries, and hush puppies for about $10. There was enough left over for dinner that night!

I ordered that Chicken Fried Chicken, and my wife had the Poor Man’s Benedict. Both meals were served piping hit. The chicken was lightly breaded very tender. The poached eggs were large and not over cooked. The service was excellent and efficient. Some times when you go to a Triple D restaurant there is more hype than substance. This place is not the case. No over priced food and souvenir stand at the check out. Well worth the stop.

A hearty country breakfast awaits at LAPines. A staple in Slidell, I remember it when I was in High school, but never ate there. My sister took me to breakfast and it was wonderful. The coffee was hot and our server kept it full. The food was delicious and not a long wait for as busy as they were.

This place is dope. Featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins, And Dives, this place does not disappoint. It has a very family atmosphere. The place served lots of variety of food. The food is really good like a parent made it.

Lawrdt! The waitress was amazing, the food was blah, blah, blah. If you’re not a cook and not use to real good cooking, you’ll be excited. The flies were chilling like they’re not a nuisance. The whole building needs a deep cleaning. The carpet needs to be pulled completely up and replaced with tile. I usually check the rest rooms to see the shape that they’re in before eating anywhere. I didn’t this time. However, it was packed & people seemed to be enjoying themselves. That’s all that matters.
