General Lee’s Cauliflower (GF) – Reg
Our most popular dish. Sometimes the world is asking too much of cauliflower, but this time cauliflower asked us to be the star on the plate. General Lee pulls rank to create a superior experience to tired old General Tso. The chickens have been honorably discharged from active duty.

Mushroom Sloppy
The sandwich that launched a thousand Fat Choys. The home made sesame buns are a labor of love and benefit from a sourdough mother started years ago in Manhattan. The mushroom ragu is as savory as they come and the crunchy, vinegared slaw helps to balance everyone out. Named one of the 25 essential dishes to eat in NYC by the New York Times.

The Burger
A mix of mushrooms, chickpeas, and potatoes seasoned, battered and fried, Tap30 is the official designation for this home made patty. It took many trials to get here, but WOW! It was called revelatory by a member of major food media, and we can’t help but agree with her.

A fun place to eat, with lots of options for the whole family. Fun Chinese food that happens to be vegan. The appetizers we got were great, and so were the noodles. I would not recommend the fried tofu and tots – in my opinion it was the least tasty dish. I would also skip the mock-tails as they’re pricy and not great. We will be back!

A great new vegetarian restaurant in Englewood! Had an amazing meal with great service. Lots of options on the menu, along with a kids menu (kiddos menu is also a coloring page with crayons provided). Loved the general lee’s cauliflower and smashed cucumber salad. Cannot wait to return and try more dishes!

Very excited to try this new spot after the original NYC location closed. Service was very friendly and we were able to sit outside. They definitely have a bustling takeout business! We loved the general tso’s cauliflower and the kung pao tots and tofu!

Hate to give a bad review for a vegan spot, but the food was not it.

Ive now eaten here 4 times and eating way too much each time. Strangely enough I never feel bloated or tired after which is rare after a chinese or vegan meal. The pricing is also very reasonable for a sit down restaurant. My new go to for lunch just waiting on delivery to go live which they said is happening next week

This restaurant was a major win for the area. The ambiance is fun and relaxed but still elevated—great for both lunch or a fun, low key night out.

Exceeded my expectations!!! I am not vegan nor do I love Chinese food because I do not like dishes masked in heavy sauces made with salt, sugar or corn syrup. But Fat Choy is different. I . felt it from the moment I walked in, From the fresh, light and airy contemporary decor to the attentive, and informative servers with their bright smiles and enthusiasm to explain and recommend dishes to me they thought I would enjoy. The owners as well as the Chef specifically came by to introduce themselves and see if I’m enjoying what I’ve ordered and discuss with me my experience dining at Fat Choy for the first time. Overall, it felt like a place I was so glad I walked into and a place I didn’t want to leave. I explained to my server I wanted to limit my carb intake so she recommended the “Not Quite Beef and Broccoli”. A savory dish of roasted mushrooms sautéed with black garlic in sesame oil. I may just give up meat after tasting this dish.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place after finding it on TikTok. It was absolutely delicious! We ordered the cauliflower boa buns, edamame dumplings, general lees cauliflower, and the kung pao tots and tofu. Everything was crispy and fresh. The service was quick, and our server, Steve, was so nice and helpful! I definitely recommend this place for vegans and non-vegans!
