Great pizza, but the order was not correct again. Ordered a Pepperoni magnifico at the store counter in person and added Romesan crust topping, same as I ordered a few weeks ago. Order was correct on the receipt. Great pizza, but no crust topper to make it was I was looking for in my order. When I asked the store employee and showed him my pizza, he said it was on there and it must have melted into the crust. I told him it was clear that it was not added. He shrugged his shoulders. I left with my pizza because my lunch break was about over. After happening like this twice now and also receiving poor customer service consistently, I will likely not order from this store again.

So I was offended last night on 6/30 in the closing hours by one of the staff. I deliver for Uber eats in my spare time with my children. I came into Marcos last night for an order for Tina . She had two pizzas and a Greek salad. I calmly waited for the order. The manager was briefing his team I believe as some of the workers were leaving. He then left instructing his workers that he will be back . For a moment I found myself gazing at the refrigerator as I was intrigued that they actually offered people the pure life tea brand. So one of the workers came up to the front and asked would I like a drink. That is normal for restaurants to offer us delivery drivers a drink. I really didn’t want any I was just tired and was ready to end my night . I said sure anyways being very polite. The young man says “oh I was just joking” he then proceeded to laugh in my face and say “that was so f’d up”. Immediately I felt uncomfortable, judged and stereotyped as I am black. I giggled it off and kindly made a statement about how I’ve never knew a shop to sell that brand, he then asked if I wanted one and if not why was I asking about it. He didn’t realize how racial he made the environment and proceeded to laugh. Being as though I had my children I did not act in a manner I should have. He is a young boy that needs to be educated and honestly should not have a job. He was very comfortable with insulting me , the small black woman delivering food with her two ponytails and her children . That says a lot about the structure of the business and the privilege the employees have to give exceptional customer service to whom they feel deserves it. I can honestly say I will never step foot in this place again, and will see to it that the young man does not ever think it is ok to be so disrespectful. We are in 2023 it is ridiculous. What if I was actually thirsty. To tease someone with a drink is unheard of . Mind you it is all on camera , so I pray he would not deny it. Maybe if the manager stayed the outcome would have been different. I feel judged and categorized.

Update: Decided to give them another try to see if they improved their process and they have. My order was on time and the food was delicious. Hot and fresh pizza and wings. Will try them again to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. The customer service was alright. I didn’t like that they wouldn’t honor the marcos email coupon code at the location when I am a rewards member for this location, but the price was still decent. The girl that helped me was friendly and got me my order quickly.

Best Deluxe Pizza and Lemon Pepper Wings, love it!!! Order these 2 all the time, service is great, place is clean, courteous staff and good is always on time if not earlier. Super fast service, will try their steak n cheese next time.

I love their pizza but the last 2 times I ordered, I got the wrong pizza. Ordered pepperoni, got plain cheese. If they could just get the service part together, ie. Giving you the actual pizza you ordered, this would really help them get better reviews.

We thought we could sit and eat. However, when we walked in, we realized it was takeout or delivery only. That was disappointing, but we got a thin crust pizza and ate in the car. It was good. I’d definitely eat it again.

The management and people skills at this restaurant is extremely poor. This is the second time they have messed up our order but this time we decided to say something because they brought the wrong pizza. Not only was the manager RUDE to my wife on the phone, he tells us that he wants the wrong pizza back. So he tells my wife it will be 15 minutes and hangs the phone up in her face. When the pizza arrives, not only was it not in the delivery bag (we saw you on camera) it was left on the doorstep. The driver speeds out of our driveway before I could give him the wrong order back. Then the manager calls back and says “did we give the pizza back” as I explained to him his driver sped out of our driveway. So we couldn’t give it back. But I am on my way to the store to show him our Ring camera footage of what happened and to give him this pizzas back. Definitely will not order from this place again… This was crazy!!! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The other crazy part is my wife tipped the driver on the Marcos App

From the time I called in my order, I received excellent customer service. The delivery driver was courteous and careful in delivering the food ordered. We ordered the specialty pizza and a 2 topping pizza they were both very delicious! Best pizza we’ve had in a long time! Being from Jersey, we expect a certain type of pizza and Marcos pizza was on point! The pizza was crunchy, fresh and tasty! Thank you for providing excellent customer service and for making a delicious pizza my family and I enjoyed very much! Happy Holidays!

UPDATE: I was contacted very quickly after posting this review. The cost of the order was refunded and I was asked to give them another chance. The next order went smoothly and the driver knocked to make it known the food was here. The pizzas are good – they occupy a place somewhere between gourmet pizza places and the delivery services we regularly use. Regrading to 4 stars because how a business responds to a problem is more important than the problem in this case.
