Do maybe it was because I order a delivery, but at the same time a good restaurant wont delever bad food so…. I order as miso marinated black cod and a few other things. The cod was super salty, cold, very fishy and super thin like paper….I mean it cost $15 just for the cod. It was terrible. On top of that they never sent napkings or chopsticks. I will never order form here again.

The sashimi and sushi were really good. Fresh and nice cuts. Appetizers were good, had a bunch of them and the sake was on the money. Only hit was the wasted green space…a dry one piece of lettuce. That was for the eye. If it’s to eat give enough to eat, if it’s for the optics, make sure it looks visually appealing. Anyway, small stuff…the place is fun and the staff is GREAT.

Decent spot for some quick sushi, nothing revolutionary or mind blowing to be honest. Would prefer to dine elsewhere for sushi but in a pinch this will do the trick.

I don’t know what happened to this spot. Not only is the sushi average but the service…just the worst. Almost mean. I’ve been going there off and on for a decade. I stopped about a year ago but in the midst of spring cleaning, I needed a quick bite. Never. Again. DO BETTER or you are sure to close down eventually.

Sushi D is a neighborhood stalwart on the busy DeKalb retail stretch between Fort Greene and Clinton Hill. It’s best for casual sushi cravings (rolls) and online orders. The dining room is a bit dark and there is outdoor seating on the patio. Finding a table has been very easy on my last two trips. Service is par, with orders taken promptly and the kitchen responding quickly, but water glasses may go unfilled if the servers are backed up with online orders.
