First time here and it was a great choice. The price was higher than expected, the food was well worth that price. The fresh fries have a mix of spicy and sweet, the buns soft, and the burger patties are thick and juicy. Choose from the menu or build your burger from scratch, either will leave you happy. We recommend the vanilla shake, and it was great to have Stubborn soda tap!

I was a little put off by the price at first, but the food it TOTALLY worth it. The buns are delicious, the meat is tasty, the pickles are a perfect balance of sweetness and spicy, the Scratch Sauce is the best burger and fry sauce I’ve had recently, and the fries have such good seasoning! The seasoning was like the BBQ Pringles dust. The burger was slightly sloppily put together, but it stayed in once piece the entire time, and it didn’t take anything away from the eating experience. My wife got the Hick’ry burger and said the bacon was excellent. The fries were on the soft side, but that just made them easier to dip in the three different sauces. The Scratch Sauce is savory, the hickory sauce is sweet, and the spicy sauce is actually decently spicy but perfect for fries or a burger. Service was friendly and fast. The store interior was clean and comfortable with plenty of space to spread out. There is plenty of parking behind the building. We will definitely be returning to try different burgers next time!

Such a good new spot in Syracuse! Delicious food. The fries could be a little crispier, but were still good. The handmade buns were top tier. Very fun soda machine. The vanilla milkshake has a little something extra (nutmeg and cinnamon maybe?) in it that provides a nice extra flavor. I’ll be going back for sure.

Need more on the menu items I feel like. This place isn’t too bad but I can tell you the fries were over cooked and too crispy and had to throw half or more out. The burger was pretty good. The bun was small like most have said, so expect a messy burger. It might be awhile before I come back with the prices the way they are and food not the greatest.

Decided to try scratch burger to see for ourself how it is. We’ve heard mixed word of mouth on the place. I think they’ve gotten a lot of the kinks worked out as we didn’t experience a lot of the negative things we had heard, and overall really liked the place. I had the hickory burger and the pattys were excellent, bacon was thick, loved the flavor a lot. Only down side was how soggy the burger was by the end.

To order, you place your own order on one of their kiosks. I wish they had a menu of some sort so I knew what I wanted before having to order. Not a big deal though. Also, I’m assuming they accept card only for payment. Maybe the owner can comment to confirm? Food was great. I read some other reviews about the food lacking seasoning, but I thought it was the perfect amount of flavor. I got the single patty scratch burger which came with fries. And it was only $7.95 + tax. It was the perfect amount of food for me and I came on an empty stomach. Fries aren’t too greasy and there was the perfect amount of salt on them. The only thing that was somewhat greasy/oily was the bun, but I think that’s just because they toast them. (It wasn’t a big deal to me.) The pickles on the burgers are INSANELY GOOD. I’d buy a side of pickles if I could. Lol. Overall, you should definitely try it out. There isn’t a burger place like this around here. I definitely will be going back.

I gave 5 stars because the food really was excellent! I got the double burger and fries with extra sauce. As a sauce person, I don’t mind paying for extra sauce, but it’s frustrating when you get charged for extra sauce and it’s not included with the order. I understand as the consumer, it’s my job to double check the order, but it’s important your employees are checking for those items if you’re going to charge extra for sauces. It’s even more imperative if you decide to use third-party delivery services at any point in time because many of those employees don’t see or check for those “extra” items. I know this restaurant is new, and with that comes growing pains and learning processes – another reason I stuck with 5 stars.
