On a road trip and was recommended to come here. Quick walk of the main drag. Lots of good choices, wanted a burger and found The ByPass, 1/2 # burger with pulled pork, Andouille sausage and cheese. The burger was great. Been a while since I had a good thick burger and the pulled pork and sausage were good as well. 4 good sauces to choose from. Had the mac-n-cheese for the side which was also very good. Our server, wish I would have got her name was pleasant and attentive. Good food and service for sure. If you are looking for a place you go here.

Walked in was seated right away, waitress came pretty quick and served me my cold drink right away, I ordered “the boss” and I have to tell ya there was so much flavor, the burger itself was cook to perfection, the delicious jelly was amazing and the fried onions and bacon were the perfect topping, I am super impressed all the way down to the most flavourful coleslaw I have ever had. 10 outta 10 will come here again. Cool place as well.

Excellent steaks all their food is delicious! Also the service is excellent and the Staff are very friendly and professional. For a Steak and Rib House the Prices are very reasonable. You have to try their apple crisp, dessert it is delicious. They serve a large size with ice cream. On your birthday you get a free dessert with your meal. This is a must restaurant to try when you’re in Pierre! So if you’re hungry and want a delicious meal at a fair price you must go to Richie Z in Pierre SD!

Ordered the half pork nachos with brisket. Waited half hour for drink. Waited an hour for food. After being seated. The nachos fell short of ball game nachos. It only had brisket no pork. I was charged the same as smoke n hot bbq nachos out of rapid city which is by far better quality and amount and you get both pork and brisket!

I want Pierre to thrive but if you’re looking for a good meal I’d look else where. Four of the six at our table said the meat was extremely salty. I get you need salt in BBQ but not to the point it’s all you taste. The corn bread was dry and hard, the sweat potato’s were tart. The waitress didn’t come to check on our table for 40 minutes and when we walked up to the bar to get refills no on was around. Finally a waiter who was standing in the corner came over and asked if we needed anything and said he would go find the bartender. He never came back. All while the owner instead of running a top notch restaurant was busy pulling up chairs and schmoozing his friends. He sat at two different tables for over 20 minutes each. Seemed like he was more interested in being a PR man than running a business. Honestly save your money and go somewhere else. Your wallet will thank you, everything was way over priced.
