This is a must go when you’re in Joliet. Inside you can admire many stuff of the route 66 (plus Blues Brothers of course).

Wasn’t sure how it would go. It was 7:30 on a Monday morning and it was empty. But the server was friendly, the order came out quickly and it was perfect!! Lots of Route 66 goodies in the diner. Great for Route 66 travelers. Y the way, I got the breakfast with Corned Beef Hash!!

I joined my high school friend for breakfast after not visiting the place for almost 10 years. I did not have good memories from my first time visiting, but since she chose the place, I went along with it. I must say, things have not changed much, but this time, I really enjoyed my omelet! I ordered the Italian omelet with grits on the side. I was expecting a tiny cup of grits, but no, this thing was big! My omelet was SO GOOD that I saved a fourth of it for my husband to try at home. He really liked it, even though it was reheated the next day, it still tasted great. We were so blessed by the customers next to us. They paid our bill!!! We don’t know what prompted them to do such a thing, but maybe they overheard us talking about our jobs. My friend is a retired teacher ( just recently), and I am a teacher’s aide ( not retired yet). Will definitely go back with my husband and family. I can almost taste that Italian omelet!

Awesome nostalgic diner. Our group got the French toast, crab Benedict, and biscuits and gravy and all the food was excellent. There was only one server but she was great and super friendly. Definitely recommend the food and atmosphere.

Great little diner with large servings and affordable pricing. Really good food. We have had breakfast here and we have had the Monte Cristo lunch special which was really good as well. They’re soups are in a large bowl and very satisfying as well. Great place and we come here every time we’re in town.

Very disappointed with my overall experience here. The food looked great but the pancakes were burnt on one side. I would have brought this up to my waitress but she never came back to ask how my food was. I ordered an orange juice as well that I never got. It was a long wait to order my food but it came out extremely fast. I will give them that at least. The eggs and toast were good, but the sausage links were okay and the pancakes were bad. I do hope they see this and make some changes. Doubt I will be back here.
