Tasty, fresh Chinese and Vietnamese. Their “spicy” is on the mild side for my tastes, but they do have Sriracha sauce. Love the hot and sour soup, Vietnamese summer rolls, and vermicelli chicken dish.

Clean and comfortable in seating and decor. The food was good but not outstanding, the portions were good and a value for price paid. Service was not hospitable, just appeared, dropped off, and no follow through to check on quality or concern. Also, not even an offer to refill drinks. We had empty glasses sitting in front of us for at least a half hour. Two people waited on us, but each only came to suffice the service. That was quite disappointing.

My family and I just purchased a house 3 minutes from Ha Long Bay Bistro. We were hoping to find a new local spot for take out. There are mixed reviews on this place, particularly referring to their dishonesty regarding your check/pricing. I wanted to give it a shot anyway. I called and placed a large order over the phone and I was not giving a total until I walked to pick up my order. The gentleman at the front brought my order from the kitchen and told me it was $87 without presenting me with a printed check. I asked him for a printed itemized check because of the review I read regarding their dishonesty with pricing. He told me they were busy and he couldn’t get one. After i insisted for the third time he said it would take a really long time and I chose to wait for the printed check. After about 10 minutes and watching him do the same act with two other people he returned with my check and it was $81.74!! I didn’t call him out for lying to me and trying to give himself a tip. I obviously didn’t leave him a tip and as I was leaving he mumbled “cheap” under his breath. There are many things wrong with this situation and to say the least I won’t be returning and will be reporting them to the better business bureau. There food was not very good to boot. Amy’s China One in Clearwater is fair better and we will make the drive to give our business to honest restaurant owners.

Check you bill before you pay, THEY DOUBLE TIP YOU! They also charge you 18% tip automatically for takeout.The restaurant automatically charges you 18% for tip when you ask them for the bill without even asking. This is just for a party of 3. Then they give you your official receipt to pay with the total including the tip without details. Then at the bottom is the part where they let you choose 18%,20% and so on. So if you are not checking you are tipping them twice. We will not go back to the restaurant and will not recommend it to anyone.

Check your bill! Read the other reviews and you’ll find they automatically charge a 20% gratuity to almost every bill and don’t say anything to you or even printed on the final bill you’d ugh. But they do leave a place for you to tip again. I accidentally ended up tipping twice and the service doesn’t deserve it. Waiter was inattentive and essentially disappeared near the end of our meal until we finally got up and asked for our bill. Waiter also only gave us one napkin and then completely ghosted us.
