I hate leaving bad reviews, especially for small businesses. However, we were not impressed or even satisfied on a mediocre level.

The staff was tremendously courteous and the food was wonderful. The portions were extremely generous, and the atmosphere is simultaneously Italian and Texan. It just feels like being home with family, perhaps because that’s how things are run. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks for a fantastic dinner! Thanks even more for the best service I’ve had in a long time.

This place is a hidden gem. The staff has always done so much with so little support from their owner. But good news they just got purchased by a great group of folks. The food is fantastic. I know that chef has been there 20 years at the least. The tomato basil soup is absolutely incredible get a loaf of bread or bruschetta and you won’t need anything else.

I had lasagna that came with a huge dinner salad. I was not able to finish my lasagna from being full from the salad. It was all great, only minor issue was the long wait for our food and it’s really dark inside. Other than that it was great.

Great flavor, a little understaffed but servers are gentle and very attentive, food was great! Loved the salad, lasagna was really good, had to take half home, big portions.

The Italian food deserves 5 stars. Had spaghetti with meatballs; loved the sauce, texture of the meatballs & the pasta. But it is very hard for me to get past the appearance of the exterior, interior, bathroom, ceilings, etc., etc. Margie’s has been there since 1953 and people rave about it, the food makes it worthwhile; I start feeling itchy when I walk in; have to worry about dust falling from the vents; wonder if I’ll catch anything using the restroom. C’MON MAN PUT A FEW BUCKS INTO AN UPGRADE. The environment needs to come closer to the quality of the meals. Thanks

Went for a friend’s birthday dinner they gave the option to serve one set plate or 2 because faster service I believe. they chose open menu since so many hadn’t ate there and we all ordered all over the menu and they did such a great job amd handled it with grace the garlic bread is so good along with the lobster cheese appetizer

I really liked the nostalgia of this place. Small, quiet and feels like a throwback. Had crab fingers to start, they were good! The butter/garlic sauce was amazing. Ask for more bread though to soak it up. The house salad was much better (and bigger) that I was imagining. Also had tomato basil soup; it was a bit too cheesy for my taste. The lasagna and steak was delicious. Also, had the linguini with shrimp and mushrooms. That too was a bit too cheesy for my taste, but after adding some of that butter/garlic sauce it was much better. Topped it off with a desert, tiramisu. Saving that for later though!
