I’ve been coming to this bar for over a year now and absolutely love the food and the drinks. Never had a problem until tonight. Had a wonderful dinner with some friends and closed out with Misha, she was wonderful. I then went up to the bar for one more drink. The bartender (wish I caught her name) was appalled I didn’t leave a 20%+ tip for two drinks when I had spent almost $200 on dinner and drinks only moments before. She had the audacity to publicly call me out in front of everyone at the bar. I was surprised and upset. This business I have been to and spent money at many times was now being disrespectful over a couple dollars. It saddens me that it comes to leaving a google review about this. And on my way out she said “I’ll remember you”. I hope she does because I will not come back if she is working.

It’s okay as far as pubs go. It’s a bit cluttered in the back. Not what I remember from the before times. I got the ABC and it was okay. I did think the balsamic for the salad was nice.

Genuinely friendly bar staff serving up lots of good beers, and of course all kinds of other drinks. The self proclaimed comfort food is super tasty and reasonably priced. A good pub to go to with friends, family, or even alone. No pretense here, just good times.

Kate!!! Give her a raise. She is a great and fast bartender but beyond that she is a very rare, super genius, genuine, rad all around human. The Mac and cheese is good and the drinks are strong but Kate is the reason I bring all my friends in. ❤️

The chili Mac was the best I’ve ever had. It was so creamy and delicious! So savory. My husband also enjoyed his chicken pesto sandwich was was superb. The waitress was very nice and my husband liked his hot coffee and I enjoyed my cranberry juice. The vibes are very chill and you can actually hear the music without it being too loud. I loved it here. Good vibes, drinks and food, what more can you ask for.

Great spot with 2 patios, the back is more secluded with large tables for socializing and turns into a nice hangout area at night. Really nice lunch spot in the day, with that edgy / dive ish bar feel where Jameson flows.

Love Black Sheep. My British friends say it’s the closest we have in SLO to a proper English pub. I agree. Nice beer selection, including Guinness on tap, and excellent food — especially their Mac and Cheese. The bar and wait staff are very friendly and the patrons are a nice mix. They have indoor and outdoor seating suitable for any time of the year.

This is a quaint little bar & grill in the middle of downtown SLO. It has such a relaxing atmosphere. I feel like I’m sitting in a pub in England! Which I love to do when there. The food is great and the service is fantastic! I highly recommend this bar & grill. Will be back!
