We we’re trying to get on a diferent restaurant and ended up at Piccolo Paradiso. Best choice on all. Food, service and ambiance. Francesco – our server – was remarkable. Definitely a comeback at Beverly Hills!

What a mediocre meal. Can’t say any food was bad, just nothing great. To start off … a nice lady sat us, was a nice crowd – not too crowded. That’s when it got not great – our server was TERRIBLE – I mean TERRIBLE!!!!! Anyone can see most of my reviews are deserved 5 stars – Piccollo gets 3 star for food and ZERO stars for service!!! We sat and waited and waited and waited – again – not too crowded, but normal nice crowd. Finally waiter came and I was just a bad communicator and could care less. I asked for a taste of a 2 red wines – took forever – he came back with one (the most expensive with such a tiny taste) – then he took forever to come back. I asked for a taste of another – and he came back with a full glass – no taste. I was thirsty so I took it. But again – bad communication he did not listen at all. Then he asked if we want water – didn’t offer filtered house – just brought us a bottle and popped it open and poured – pretty presumptuous! And a fee he did not even ask about – profit bottle. Which I often order – but sure is nice, professional, and respectful when we are at least asked. We waited and waited and waited to place our order – got some bread – THANK GOD WE WERE STARVING!!! The bread was mediocre at best – what Beverly Hill restaurant doesn’t have awesome bread????!! As we ordered, asked about veal and he points to duck – I speak VERY clearly and veal means veal-not duck. Order in, chopped arugula salad, eggplant app, pasta, veal. Over an hour from the start our food came – no check ins from our waiter or anyone – was terrible service – TERRIBLE – we were invisible – and we’re a nice, kind, we’ll dresses polite couple who eats out a LOT! Salad – was ok, not bad, ok. Eggplant app -delicious!!!! Wine – “good”. Aperol – very good/normal. Pasta – homemade – good, not great, but pretty good. Veal – huge portion with old school potato’s and veggies – pretty bad, tasted like Lysol – like canned mushroom sauce – no salt or anything special on veggies – VERY OLD SCHOOL – *Chef – this is Beverly Hills – this meal should be amazing – but was far from it. In summary – food was “ok” – but far from good, service was HORRIBLE AND VERY SLOW. WAITER – please train this guy. Others – look up “service”. Price – very fair, assuming food would have been good. We’ll never get these 2 hours back. If you want a mediocre Italian place like you’d find in a strip mall – you got it. If you want delicious LA/Beverly Hills good and SERVICE – this is not the place.

I walked by this restaurant so many times but I never had any food here before. It seemed like one of those neighborhood’s favorite place and I’m so glad I tried it. More than anything, SPAGHETTI NATALE was amazing. It was so simple but packed with flavors and spaghetti was cooked perfectly. It was on the expensive side since the fish was $58, but pasta prices are not like that and I think I will go back a lot more for that pasta alone. It is definitely a classic old school italian place with great service.

Our family recently dined here for a holiday dinner. The entire experience was exquisite except for one minor yet annoying aspect which I will describe in a moment, but first the positives: Wonderful old world Italy atmosphere, professional top notch service from the maître d, waiter, and bussers. Lovely menu with extensive selections, interesting daily specials, and a comprehensive wine list. Each dish served to our party of five was perfectly prepared, superbly presented, and delicious. With all these superlatives, what could possibly be negative? The menu listed ‘Bread’ as an option for $1.50. With main course dishes $25 to $45 per person, it seemed like this establishment is nickel-and-diming the patrons by charging for bread. No one in our party asked for bread, yet as soon as we placed our main course orders, the busser showed up with one loaf of bread and oil and vinegar for dipping. So it seems like anyone that dines here automatically receives bread, in our case about 1 1/2 slices per person, and sure enough the final bill included an extra $7.50 for bread that we never asked for. We spent $300, tipped 20%+ (to a well deserved team), and felt a bit fleeced out of an additional $7.50. Not a game changer, but enough of an irritation to prevent me from posting what would otherwise be a five star review.

Went mid-week, early afternoon. Was not impressed by the food. The Piccolo Paradiso($21) was overdressed, in soggy clumps. The lamb chops($45)were really disappointing. Not sure if it was the preparation, freshness, or what. The spicy seafood pasta was ok, but over-spiced. The Italian bottled water we received was labeled “alkaline”, and must be an acquired taste…

It’s amazing! Classic old school yet modern charm. You expect great food being in Beverly Hills, and this place does not disappoint. The squid ink risotto with seafood (clam, shrimp and calamari) was excellent all the pasta we had was great. The beer is only bottled Peroni, but the wine drinkers have plenary of options. Patrick took great care of us as well.

Lovely place to have a romantic dinner for two or with friends to laugh and have a good time. Delicious Italian dishes and desserts. Full bar and espresso, they will make you whatever you ask for. My favorites the lamb and scallops. Try the cucumber martini! Take a stroll down Beverly Drive, window shopping

Looked great from the outside. On the inside it was so chilly most people still wore their coats. The wall seating is leather but it’s literally a piece of wood back there. Very uncomfortable. The lasagnette pesto was almost without any texture and more of an overly soft paste. For the price you pay, there must be better places to eat.

Some of the best Italian food that has ever been my experience to have. You must speak with Alegra, the owner’s daughter. She will make sure that you have a wonderful experience here. Service is top notch. Worth every dollar spent. I’ll be back….
