this breakfast spot is unlike any other. The menu is unique and the recipes are well thought out. Bit on the pricey side, but the dedication to quality the beautiful atmosphere and the excellent service cannot be ignored. some of the most beautiful breakfast dishes I’ve ever seen, one of the best club sandwiches I’ve ever eaten, and some of the best coffee I’ve ever sipped. they offer a variety of fresh pastries from a local bakery and I believe that many of the ingredients are locally sourced. There’s a reason this place is famous in town and it’s definitely worth a stop.

If you’re wondering if the wait is worth it on a bustling Sunday morning as you stand in line to order then wait another 30 minutes for your food, the answer is always yes. I visited this place during their busiest hour, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. The food is phenomenal while the building itself serves immaculate vibes with plenty of natural lighting and minimalistic art. I consumed the mushroom tartine with a poached egg, which was probably the best thing I put in my mouth all week 😉 I also drank their iced chai latte that had some great authentic chai flavoring and spice. As my sweet treat for later, I ordered their cream cheese cinnamon bun (only served on Sundays), which was everything I expected it to be and more. The staff were friendly, attentive, and most certainly hardworking above all. Do yourself a favor one day and try this place out, it will not disappoint.

Afternoon takes the simplest ingredients, all natural and organic and blends them together to create palate pleasing menu selections. Expect a wait for a table and possibly a wait for your food but amazing food results come to those who wait. I had a side salad and whipped feta toast and both were better than I hoped and my expectations were high already. Soooo good! Love Afternoon in Gainesville Florida!

Overall a pretty positive experience. I felt like the employees could have been *friendlier* but that’s really besides the point, it was busy. What would have a helluva difference is a wrap awning around the entire side of the building to make the waiting more bearable, other than that, food was a 10/10. Will be returning!

One of Gainesville’s hidden gems! The food is fresh, local and delicious. Glad I finally stopped by to try them out. Plenty of parking in the little plaza and street parking nearby. The menu is unique as well, and they have baked goods and amazing coffee. It is important to follow their ordering system as it speeds up the wait time for tables.

Pretty good but pretty overpriced. I ordered the classic breakfast. Two eggs, toast, and sausage. Usually you could get a TON for a lot cheaper at any old diner restaurant, so I was disappointed w that. HOWEVER, the food was better than any old diner. The toast was some of the best toast I have ever eaten. Really Thick Sourdough. So damn good. My friend ordered half of a grilled cheese and oh my god it was yummy.
