Did not get a chance to order, but the food looked like good diner food. Waited 20 minutes to be seated (which is fine), but the servers walked past us to take the orders of other tables seated after us. After the third time, i said good morning and the server just walked past me. Not sure what the attitude is for and why servers refused to acknowledge us (a party of 3), but we left to eat elsewhere. Seems like the srver attitude is hit or miss.

Wow!! The pancakes!!! We ordered other things for breakfast and just got one pancake to try!! Everything was fantastic, but we are coming back tomorrow for more pancakes!! The ladies who were working were super nice, too!! Great place!

I had breakfast at Gilchrist this morning as the hotel I was staying at didn’t have breakfast despite advertising it. Perhaps that’s a good thing as I enjoyed my meal probably more than I would if I had breakfast at the hotel. This location certainly lives up to the Gilchrist reputation.

Now the hot cakes were exceptional . Lite fluffy and crispy on the edges . I got the blueberry ones . Now witha hot cake that good WHY WOULD YOU KEEP THE REAL MAPLE SYRUP IN THE KITCHEN ?? .The fake stuff with the high fructose corn syrup is right on the table with the heinz ketchup high fructose corn syrup . The stuff John Kerry pollutes you with while he makes millions ! Oh but the great scientist he is he’ll save you from glooobal warming . If you give him more $$$ he’ll save you . Very disappointed in our visit today due to the server. I’ll preference by saying food was delicious, as usual. Server should not have this job. She was as unfriendly as she could be. Incredibly miserable. Tried unsuccessfully to engage her & atleast make her seem interested in doing her job. Served food & never returned to table to ask if everything was okay, would we like more coffee or even a refill on water? She did return to swipe the creamer off the table to move to another table, without even asking if we needed it! Person at register was no better. I commented to have a nice day and her repky was “yep”. Made our dining experience very unwelcoming. You can and typically have, done better with staff. Don’t scrap the bottom of the barrel for help. Doesn’t bode well for your business.

Amanda and Katie were absolutely amazing and accommodating! I had questions about the menu and they were able to answer them. They worked really well together as a team and seem happy to work together. The owner came in for a bit and spoke with a few of the customers which was nice to see. The food was very yummy, I had an omelet with locs, onions and cream cheese! The home fries were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I would come back without a doubt!

Best pancakes in South Jersey hands down! Not many people know about this location in Margate so this one is generally less busy than the others. Still the same Gilchrist quality and the staff are all very nice. I take my mom here all the time!
