Another great hit from the Nobies team. The pizza is good and the flavors are fun. The marinara sauce that comes with the mozzarella sticks is absolutely amazing. It’s smoky and spicy. There is a small arcade area with pinball and two other arcade cabinets. You can buy $10 rolls of quarters, pro tip scrape together a couple bucks of your own quarters and be done with it. It’s definitely kid friendly but the only thing I could ask for is more drink options. I’d love to have been able to have a diet coke with my pizza or a lemonade for my daughter. They do have bottled “Mexican coke” but I prefer a classic can or fountain options.

Went on opening day expecting there to be some missteps as they find their bearings, but everything was perfect. From the minute you enter the restaurant and are greeted by the hosts, you know you’re in a special place. You can tell that the drinks, food, and decor were all done with so much care. The delicious frozen amaretto sour was a trip to the 80s. Mozzarella sticks were awesome, as were the crispy potatoes (that sauce!!!). Maui wowee pizza with jalapenos and pineapple was delicious. The crust was thin and crispy and held all the toppings perfectly. Toppings had the perfect ratio to each other, and the pineapple was flavorful, but not thick and overly juicy. Just a perfectly executed pizza!

Happy to see someone taking on the challenge of getting good pizza in Houston! From the lighting to the music, the environment here takes you back to the days of a famous pizza chain from the 90s that lost its way. The thin crust pizza is offered in a couple of different types. We tried the wise guy and was very pleased – the giardiniera wasn’t too spicy and had a good pop paired with the sausage. Also got a pepperoni and olive. The mozz sticks are paired with a smokey marinara. I quite liked the sticks on their own, but the sauce added another level. Was very pleased with service, but will say you could tell the bar was busy. Hope to see other pizza crust types in the future and will be back soon!

Nonno’s Pizza was a fun nostalgic-esque dive into what pizza night should be. We started off with their two frozen cocktails – one negroni and one amaretto sour. Both tasted superb, not too sweet. They were the perfect little alcoholic punch to start the meal.

Stumbled upon their soft opening and was beyond impressed! I’ve been a big fan of the toasted coconut forever and so I have been super excited for this new pizza spot to open up.

So LOUD. Not a fan of the “Nonnos slice”, focaccia-based pizza— a bread-y greasy salt bomb. Wasn’t impressed with the burnt thin crust pizza either. Wines btg not that great. Had an Italian wine (I think it was a Super Tuscan) that was just ok at $15/glass. Was happy to see they had Cynar, but when I asked for a Cynar spritz the bartender looked confused. Hope they get better. Probably won’t go back. Disliked atmosphere & couldn’t wait to get outta there. We’ll stick with Nobie’s, which we love.

We have loved Nobie’s and The Toasted Coconut for years, so it’s not surprising that we had a great time at Nonno’s !! We started by sharing the frozen Negroni at the bar, then ordered the Broccoli and Garlic pizza and finished it off with a chocolate-chip and potato-chip cookie at our table. The staff was warm and welcoming and we loved seeing neighbors from Montrose sitting at a table nearby. So glad to welcome this immediate classic into the neighbor and looking forward to our next visit.

It’s as if the pizza parlor of my childhood was fully five star quality, with better everything! Best ingredients. Best service. Best cocktails. And great arcade games to boot! Your pizza delivery person will forgive you . Just go here, because it’s amazing!

The best thing to happen to me this month was to discover Nonno’s. I’ve been twice in the last week and a half and plan to bring my parents in this week. I love everything about this place! The vintage Pizza Hut table lights, the music, the cocktails are delicious.. but the pizza truly is the star. I had the Maui Wowee a few days ago and I think about it every morning when I open my eyes. Hands down my new favorite place.

Loved the atmosphere. Food was spectacular. Had a wise guy, meat lovers, crispy potatoes, and several cocktails. Lily is the best server. We will definitely be back.
