Not very pleased. I walked in & no one says anything. Do I wait to be seated, seat myself? I mean, how do you know if you aren’t a regular? I got tired of waiting so I sat myself. They were moving along with their day. No one said a word to me while standing there. Even after eye contact. After sitting, I noticed several who weren’t greeted. Only a few. As if they were familiar. 1st stop sign ignored. I really should’ve left. Idc. At least acknowledge.

Great hidden gem. I was looking for cottage cheese at diners in GA or SC and found this place! Boy was I glad I did! Great food amazing portions, prices and super friendly service. In fact I drove 90 miles specifically for Breakfast at D’s Friendly Diner and they did not disappoint. I plan to go every Monday unless they build 1 in Augusta

Bottom line this is the best breakfast place in 100 miles if not more. I’ve worked at Statesboro High School for 8 years and never knew this restaurant was next to big lots. I was conducting tryouts last Saturday at Statesboro High School we finished early. I was hungry and I googled breakfast near me. And D’s restaurant popped up.and I read all the raving reviews. I drove across the street and to my surprise there was a gold mine for breakfast. I had the Steak and eggs and it was fantastic. I replaced my grits with hash browns what a perfect meal. The price was unbelievably inexpensive. Don’t be in a hurry and go with the flow. This is an old school restaurant the way they all should be.

Southern diner food at its finest. The food is quickly prepared and tasty, perfect for any morning breakfast. The diner is small and can get really busy at times, but I have always had an enjoyable experience! Also, I have ordered to-go orders here multiple times during the week and it is very easy.

Very friendly staff and fast. The food was very good. I had the eggsplosive burger, one had the mushroom Swiss burger and another had the Philly cheesesteak all looked good and my burger was delicious with the seasoned fries. My wife had the country fried steak sandwich which looked very good as well. We will definitely be back. We will be back to try breakfast as the menu for breakfast looked good.

Staff seemed overwhelmed alittle still pushing to get the job done though. My first impression when I walked in was pretty eh just another little diner but they ended up being very reasonable prices and way better then waffle house haha try them out its a nice place and good food.

The diner is small and the breakfast is meh. The service was terrible. I ordered coffee and was never offered a refill although all of the tables around us that ordered coffee was approached and asked if they wished for a refill. Not one time did any of the staff come to check on us after our food was brought out. We had to flag down someone from staff to get our bill. I then when to the register to pay, I waited for the person just in front of me to pay and I approached the register. The lady at the register looked at me, I attempted to hand her the bill and my payment but she just turned, filled a cup with coffee and walked away from the register.

Most EXCELLENT! Wifey is starting her Doctoral of Education Degree at Georgia Southern and just recently graduated with her Masters of Education Degree from GSU as well. A few weeks ago she had her DR program orientation. We went down a day early to make the 4 hour trip easier. Well that morning we wanted a good breakfast cause our hotel sucked. Don’t stay at the Days Inn in Statesboro. I’ve already reviewed them.
